Dr. Joseph Jerman, MD

I’m always amazed at the promptness of Dr Jerman. He is decisive and caring, yet at the same time professional. He did one surgery for me and I’d choose him again.

Excellent service

I was impressed that I got into see the Doctor a few minutes before my appointment. The staff person I first met was both professional and personable. He listened to me and said the doctor Dr. Jerman would be right in and he was. Dr. Jerman was considerate and listened to my details about my injury. He reviewed my X-rays and asked if I had time for a few more X-rays there. He told me he did not think I needed surgery, although I had a fracture of the tibia. He did order a Catscan so he could be sure. I liked Dr. Jerman and trust him. His nurse and the whole staff were kind to me. I had the Catscan and did not have to have surgery. He scheduled my follow up appointment at an office closer to my home. I was glad I chose to see Dr. Jerman.

I went because I tore my calf muscle playing softball. I had went to the ER the day of it happening . I was referred to this Dr to follow up with. It was extremely busy, but I had an appointment. I finally got in a room and the Dr and nurse were in and out of my room several times. He assessed and confirmed it was torn but didn’t listen to my extreme pain when he was touching my leg. He didn’t even ask my range of motion . Instead he just sent the nurse in with a boot that she tightened directly on my calf making me almost jump off the chair with my good leg. After telling her was hurting , she just told me I would have to step into . At this point I wasn’t able to put my heal to the ground and then they expected the boot to magically fix it. I have a high pain tolerance and I was in tears when I was checking out at the window, so I bent down and started ripping that boot off. The Dr saw me doing that and asked if I needed a wheel chair to get back to my car. I left angry.

I did not enjoy my visit. Joe gave me the creeps

Dr. Jerman preformed a total knee replacement for me about 10 years ago. Now he's treating the other knee. Very caring person, listened to my concerns and found the solution to the problem I have. Wouldn't go to any other doctor when it comes to my knees.

Dr. Jerman recently performed surgery on my wife’s elbow. We were impressed with his professionalism. The surgery time was shorter than expected. His team is amazing as well. They cared for my wife with such compassion. We go back next week for her check up.

Awesome staff, Dr Jerman was super and was able to quickly diagnose my issue and a week later I am back to my normal activities. Highly recommend.

I was quite apprehensive about having surgery on my hip, but after discussing my options with Dr Jerman, I feel very confident in him as my surgeon.. his explanations of the surgery were very complete including pre and post op.. additionally, his staff and all the personnel at CIO were very professional and immediately put me at ease ... I left my appointment completely informed and convinced that this is the team I want to perform my surgery... finally, the facility is immaculate with all precautions for Covid strictly enforced..

Had cortisone injection in both knees.

He was very informative and listened to my problems I am having.

I do not recommend this doctor, did two surgeries in the same day on me , that was his fault , still hip isn't right .. didn't see him till staples were out . Didn't like his attitude never seen him again

Our son sustained a fractured shoulder during the first few weeks of baseball season. Dr. Jerman and the staff at CIO provided exceptional care during our son’s treatment. Because of the care and advice we received from Dr. Jerman, our son was able to return to the game in full capcity for the first time in the high school state championship and made a major contribution to the team’s victory. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Jerman.

My son broke his leg during a high school wrestling practice-after CIO was closed for the day. Dr. Jerman worked us in the next day. He was honest with us about our son’s expected treatment and recovery, and despite being disappointed about having to take time off for sports, our son was able to stay positive throughout the whole ordeal, in part, because of the way that Dr.Jerman connected with and engaged him during our visits. We are extremely grateful to Dr.Jerman and the CIO staff.

In elwood had appointments about 10 times saw him maybe twice. nurse practitioner 8 times. the times i saw dr jerman were rushed. doubtful he spent 5 minutes with me. now if this were a review of practioner would have had 4 stars. Dr Jerman could learn a few things off of the nurse practioner.
