Dr. Joseph Hicks, MD

Dr. Hicks had not reviewed my case before entering the exam room. He sent me to specialist and he did not know what the reports revealed. His office insisted I bring in a kidney stone for analysis - they lost it. When I asked about my urine test while at the visit, he said he had no idea what the results were. Did not offer to check and find out while I was there. He spoke 90% of the time to the person with me instead of to me. I’m not a child, or deaf, or incompetent.He apparently wanted to get to lunch and hurried me although I waited for an hour in his waiting room. He spent approximately six minutes with me and when I tried to ask a question, he would interrupt me and never would come back to it. Upon leaving, I expected him to say, do you have any questions about the treatment plan. He did not. He must be close to retirement and he doesn’t care anymore. He needs to treat the patient and not just the problem.

Rushes patients thru as fast as possible . Doesn’t take time to discuss medical issues. More patients, more money.

Dr. Hix and his staff are caring professionals. They were sensitive to my health issues, easy to work with when scheduling my appointments, and friendly and personable to me as a patient.

I was leaving a review but ran out of characters and since I ran out of characters, I did not feel that it would accurately state why I could not recommend this doctor. So I would just say it as plain as I can. I would never recommend this doctor. You have to ask questions because he definitely will not provide any answers. These things should be told to you. I should not have to ask because it is not like I have ever had this type of surgery before and I am not the doctor. My regular doctor that recommended him...I definitely will be talking to her about him and telling her not to recommend him.

Dr Hicks and the staff were great.

Dr.Hicks is an excellent doctor who truly cares about his patients. I would highly recommend this doctor.

Dr Hicks is an incredible surgeon, I am so grateful to him and his staff, his Nurse practitioner was an absolute angel, she spent time with me, she was caring, very caring, I really loved her, the nurse who took out my staples was sweet and patient, the only complaint was the receptionist who was not very nice to me because I wrote my name in a scribble, my fault and I should have written it but she was very rude to me.

Love Dr. Hicks I have been his patient for a long time he is a caring doctor and knows what he is doing he is concern about my kidneys and my bladder he is fun to cut up with I do recommend him
