Dismissive and uncaring
I am a senior citizen who lives in low income housing. Before I saw Dr. George I was told he participates in my insurance. I went for my visit. Upon leaving I asked the girl if I owed any money. She said 'no'. I just received a b ill for $250. I don't have the money to pay.

I saw Dr. George as an internist. I figured that his specialty in addiction wouldn't matter as I couldn't even remember the last time I took a controlled substance. It did matter. I suffered a life threatening illness and almost died. I had a 12' incision , a great deal of my bowel removed and a had colostomy bag. Dr. George placed an order that I was to have no narcotics and instead gave me acetaminophen drip: an over the counter drug. I thought I was just being a baby about the pain until I read my chart online. He lied to the other doctors and residents that I was an addict. He knew me well as he was treating my diabetes and heat disease so he wasn't confusing me with another patient. But you know even people who suffer from addiction deserve pain relief. I am not sure I will ever get over the betrayal.

I had been seeing Dr. George for a while now and yes,I am an addict bim trying to stay off it with "his"help, RIGHT??? Well I guess hw didn't want anything else to do with me on his schedule, but an addict ain't on no schedule ! And I have real health issues that he missed and didn't tell me after me making him do the tests I needed. And come to find out I more than likely have Cancer! And I thought if I could just go back in there and see him privately, but nope!!! I had to try to beg for my life in the waiting room in front of other patients and he stood back there while the nurse told me he would not talk to me! A I was crying and begging for my life in front of him and to him, and he turned and walked slowly away from me. Who does that!?! After missing a nodule in the right lung for 3 montths till another Dr. Told me for him to tret me or send me to someone to treat me For A Lung Nodule in my right lung and was on a CT scan that he ordered for me after me asking him to do it.

Very poor Doctor Patient communication. One of the worst Substances abuse doctors I've came across. Dr. George could be so much better at helping suboxone patients...if he treated his substance abuse patients differently than his normal patients. Start by Creating a treatment plan and helping the patient reach and maintain certain goals within said treatment plan also by opening his ears to listen to what the patients have to say so that the patients would have better success.

My wife began seeing Dr George after an almost 6 year battle with prescription pain meds. She went from Dr to Dr trying to find out why she hurt so much & the only thing other Drs did was write her a script for MORE pain meds! It was so frustrating! After just one every appointment I began to feel hope that my wife could finally conquer this battle that others enabled. He was kind caring & compassionate but holds her accountable too. As a result of this I began to see the Dr as an internist! T

Dr. George & his staff have literally saved my life! I called his office after doing a google Search for a doctor who dealt in addiction medication. Through the sobs, I told my story to the lady who answered the phone who has now become a friend. She listened patiently & asked if I could the next day! Sincerely that day almost two years ago Dr George has helped me regain my life! It has not been easy but he has never judged me or left me to fight this battle alone! I highly recommend Dr George!

Having been through detox programs with other doctors in the past, Dr George’s approach and attention to detail allowed me to break free from opiate addiction. His use of naltrexone implant was successful and I have been clean now for four months. I am employed full time and for the first time in a long time I feel like this is a permanent new beginning. Thank you Dr George!

I reached to dr George to help me for my opioid dependent habit. He was helpful and explained all options of detox treatment to me. We settled on a Dridge device. Dr. George placed it on me. It took all the withdrawals away. I just received the naltrexone implant and I am on my way to recovery.

Came in with a bad herniated disc in my back. Have had trouble with the same disc for years and have been working with pain managament. Had a spinal fusion and the day after the surgery Dr George refused to even discuss my situation, instead saying everything wrong or bothering me was from my opioid addiction and withdrawal. Very condescending and judgemental.
