Cancels last minute- no regard for patient
Dr. Donzelli was the surgeon who did a complete thyroidectomy on me 14 years ago. He did a great job at the time. However, my recent experience with him is less than positive. Twice I made Monday appointments with him using his online scheduling mechanism. Both times his office has called to cancel those appointments with just a few days notice and the option given for rescheduling was 8 weeks out. His disregard for his patient’s schedule is frustrating to say the least, but it also leaves people in challenging health situations. I would not recommend going to Dr. Donzelli for any sort of urgent situation.

This is really a 4 1/2 star rating. Dr. Donzelli himself is definitely a 5-star doctor. He is absolutely outstanding! He explains everything thoroughly and is compassionate. The slight decrease in score is because of 2 things: 1) there is a very long wait time in the office for an appointment (I was seen 45 minutes late), and 2) the doctor does not answer follow-up questions himself but gives them to his assistant to answer, and she never seems to have the answer.

Excellent surgeon. Office wait time for an appointment is terrible. Schedules too many patients to see in one day. Always feel rushed. 2 hours in the waiting room is horrendous.

Dr. Donzelli is pretty much a GENIUS! All I can say is how amazing he is as a surgeon, compassionate and highly skilled. I had a difficult thyroid and he was prepared for the surgery. I highly recommend him if you need services that he performs. He has been pleasant at all visits and thorough with his delivery of information.

Deceptive practices on billing and ALWAYS a wait. After a routine check-up I got a bill for a $500 surgery that definitely didn't happen. When I asked for clarification, no one cared to work with me or explain the charge, instead they sent me to collections. After a month of calling I figure out that a 7 second procedure to look up my nose with a glorified otoscope (that they had done many times before without a charge) was being classified as a surgery. I never would have agreed for $500.

Was referred to Dr. Donzelli by my primary care Dr. She told me he was the best in his field at Edwards Hospital. From the time I called for appt to the moment my visit was over I was thrilled! Staff very courteous and friendly. Dr. Donzelli was extremely nice and explained clearly what I had and what would take place. For sure would refer others to see him.

I had a total thyroidectomy, Dr. Donzelli and the staff were great. He spends time with patients and makes sure to answer all questions. Only one time I had a lengthy wait but that is to be expected at a busy doctors office.
