Overnight loss of hearing in my right ear.
I awoke on a Sat. morning to loss of hearing in my right ear. Monday morning I called Dr. Cunniff’s office. I saw the doctor the same day. Dr. Cunniff diagnosed “sudden sensorineural hearing loss” and treated me with 60 mg of oral Prednisone for 10 days. He referred me to Dr. Keith Jorgensen, for sudden hearing loss in right ear and an audiologic evaluation. After the audiologic evaluation and exam, Dr. Jorgensen said to be thankful for Dr. Cunniff’s knowledge in detecting and quickly treating my sudden hearing loss. He said Dr. Cunniff quick diagnosis and treatment of my sudden hearing loss would most likely not have been diagnosed and treated at an emergency room or urgent care and that it would take someone like him to diagnosis and treat my symptoms. And most likely, most other primary care givers would not have been able to diagnose and quickly treated my condition. Which was very important because the faster sudden hearing loss is caught and treated, the better the outcome.

I have been seeing Dr. Cunniff for many years as has my husband and son. He spends a good amount of time with me and I have never been rushed in any way. After his exam he sits down, crosses his legs and begins what I call "the fireside chat." He reviews his findings, answers my questions and reminds me about what I need to take care of in the upcoming year. When I tell friends about the this few believe me as their appointment experiences are quite different.

Dr. Cunniff is what doctors should be - caring, empathetic, knowledgeable, intuitive, patient, understanding and willing to work with your personal preferences where applicable. I have conditions that can be controlled by lifestyle changes instead of medications and he has worked with me on making those changes instead of just handing me a prescription. He actually listens to his patients and takes the time to explain things.

I have seen Joe as my Dr for almost 30 years. He was just starting out when I had my first visit. He is the best Dr ever. I never have had to wait seriously - My feeling is he values my time as much as his own and somehow he does this and never makes me feel he is hustling me through the visit because he is running late. His nurse Sandy who has been with him forever is just a good. If my company changed insurance and I could not see Joe I would either change to my wifes insurance

30 Years ago I bounced around between doctors never finding a good match for me. I was very lucky that my wife found Dr. Cunniff. We both have been his patients for over 20 years. Very very professional, excellent staff, the latest information, and most importantly, he knows his stuff. I wish everyone had the experience with their doctor that we have had with Dr. Cunniff. The only problem is...there is only one of him. I'm very glad he's our doctor. We drive over an hour now and its worth it.

Like most people I chose my Dr. based on location and what I could find online for reviews. In the past two years I was followed by Dr. Cunniff for a number of reasons. I found him to be extremely late at all times. More importantly I went to see him about low T. My wife and I stressed to him the importance of us trying to have a child. The medication he placed me on is actually being used as a male birth control so now a year and a half later i have no chance of having a child at this time
