5 stars are not enough
Dr Cichon is a great guy. Very down to Earth. He introduces himself as “Joe” and puts you immediately at ease before your surgery. He has a calming presence and friendly demeanor. Like a rabbi. I know we don’t get to choose our anesthesiologists. But you’ll be lucky if you get him in the day of your colonoscopy.

A leader in his field
Dr Cichon is one of the most promising young physician scientists of his generation and UPenn is lucky to have him. His research on Ketamine and the neurobiology of anesthetic agents will pave the way for many other novel discoveries that will change the face of Anesthesia and Modern Medicine. I would add that his intellect and research acumen is only matched by his kindness and generosity.
