Dr. Joseph Carreau, MD

I have had 2 rotator cuff surgeries and a torn meniscus repair. Dr. Carreau did all of them. He always explains what he thinks should be done. Spends time with me, not in a hurry to get to next patient. Has a wonderful bed side manner. I will continue to go back to see him when I need his help.

I was somewhat hesitant about this procedure. I knew I needed it and I hoped that it would go smoothly but again I was hesitant just didn’t know what to expect. my surgeon Dr. Joseph Carreau, MD , helped to alleviate a portion of my concerns by providing very honest answers to my questions however, I was still uncertain to a degree, and that’s simply due to a fear of the unknown knee replacement is a very involved procedure. Aside from all of this my experience, my personal experience could not have been better everyone that I dealt with in regards to my surgery and recovery couldn’t have been kinder or more attentive, the level of professionalism by the nurses the surgical team literally everyone was top-notch. I am thankful that this level of care is available. I just want to thank everybody that helped me. I will think of all of them, every time I walk without the pain I previously had again thank you you are all to be commended.

I cant tell you enough what a great job he did. I was scared to death. He was so reassuring. I had no pain after surgery. It is now 2 months since surgery and I can not even tell. My knee feels as normal as my real knee. He also said my knee was in bad shape. Which by the pain I was having there was no doubt. He definitely should be the one you consider

Dr. Carreau surgically repaired my shoulder. He was great. Sat and talked through everything with me. Dominated during the surgery. My shoulder feels way better than I ever expected. Dr. Carreau wasn’t awkward and talked like we had known each other for years. He’s the man. He is a great surgeon and I’d recommend him to anyone.

So far no complaints about Dr. Carreau. Unity Point physician center where surgery was performed was 3rd world quality with staff that were not professionals.

Dr Carreau explains procedures very well. He listens to your complaints and addresses them appropriately. I did not feel rushed out the door and felt my concerns were legitimately valiated. Excellent doctor!

Dr. Carreau is very caring and knowledgeable and answers all of my questions. He explains things thoroughly and really cares about his patients.

Dr. Carreau has done two surgeries on me. The first wasan emergency hip and femur. He did an amazing job and up was up and healed very quickly and had very little pain. The second was a a knee replacement a year later. Everything went smoothly. Another year later and I am in great shape with no pain. He always takes the time to listen to concerns and explains all options. He is a very caring and kind person and is concerned about his patients health. I would highly recommend Dr.Carreau to anyone!

Dr. Carreau listens to my concerns. provides options, and does not push me toward any one option. He explains the options carefully and allows me time to make my choices. I always feel that I have his full attention.
