I had some serious eye issues as a result of another doctor's incompetence. I went to Dr. Calderone by referral and he was able to assist me in restoring my vision and the damage to my eyes. That was over 12 years ago and I have stayed a patient. Always helpful. The lower score is due to his scheduling and wait times. However for the once or twice a year I go the results are worth the wait.

Do not go here if you want a prescription to get glasses online. They will outright refuse to give you your PD to do so. They only want you to buy expensive glasses in their office. Also the wait time is HORRENDOUS.

My regular ophthalmologist retired and sold his practice to Dr. Calderone. None of this was explained to me and I was not warned to expect something different. At my first appointment with this gentleman, and it was simply a yearly eye exam with no particular problems, the wait was absolutely interminable. Everyone's time is vauable and I was there over two hours which is just too long. Another thing was that nurses, or whoever they were (I don't know because they weren't introduced to me and I had no idea of their qualifications) did some of what i would expect the doctor to do such as checking the eyes for glaucoma, etc. I am seriously considering finding another ophthalmologist as my time, and my eyes,, are too valuable to risk continuing in this situation.

NOT GO HERE! Horrifying - incompetent people doing eye exams. Posted on November 19th, 2018 The reason there is such a wait is because this is a factory. Dr. Calderone makes appointments with so many people it's ridiculous - then he has his staff run them through exams like an assembly line! I just went there and had to go back 3 TIMES because my prescription was wrong!

I like and respect Dr Calderone but no longer will be a patient. Scheduling in the office is extremely poor. Missed messages and I do not believe they are truthful. They can't seem to keep on schedule. A while ago, had to wait 4 hours in the waiting room while being misled about how long my wait was going to be. How do I know I was to? Overheard one of the staff explaining the real reason. Gave them benefit of doubt until today.

The few times I have been here, service was slow. I asked about contacts on my first visit and Dr. Calderone told me it was not possible with my eyes. I came back a year later, got a prescription for contacts (guess he changed his mind), but they gave me the wrong lens. They blamed a tech but refused to give me money back for the wrong lenses. I'll never trust them with my eyes again.

The wait time was crazy. Staff was friendly on my visit, but seemed inept in administering the tests. The assistant with Dr. Calderone was falling asleep when he was speaking to me in the room afterward. Weird vibe there.
