Didn’t do right by my mother
My mother was a patient at Encompass Rehabilitation and was under the care of Dr Joseph E Brooks. She was there for 16 days and was discharged by him in worse shape than when she was admitted. She had diarrhea the whole time she was there and still had it when discharged, she also developed pneumonia while being treated by him and we were told she no longer had it but when chest X-rays were done the day after discharge she still had it. She also was diagnosed with thrush the day after her discharge. Whe discharged she was unable to do the tasks she could do prior to admission so basically she is having to start all over again.

Dr Brooks was great during my EMG visit. He made me feel relaxed. He explained everything very thoroughly. He is obviously very expert at what he does, a very skilled physician . I highly recommend Dr. Brooks !

Dr Brooks talks at you and never listens. He does not try to get to know his patients at all. He told me i would need treatment of some kind for a long time possibly for life. Then when he no longer liked my progess he dumped me without giving me enough time to find another doctor. He also said he was getting a promotion in Genesis so he couldn't keep all patients. I am left not able to work more than 3 hours per day while I wait to start treatment with another doctor.
