My doctor for 28 years. Tried to seldom go. Glad he’s retiring and from what I hear from other doctors they “get it”. Rude arrogant and acts like you’re bothering him.

The rudest Doctor I have ever been to!! I've been showing early signs of MS, which runs in my family. I've been to the ER and several other doctors and they said I need a full body MRI, but the neurologist has to write it. I've been having trouble talking and I need my mom's help and he told her to shut up. He doesn't think anything is wrong with me and says it's all in my head and psychological. He handed my paper work back and told me he wouldn't be seeing me again. He was mad about seeing me

There is no chance I would recommend this man to anyone under any circumstances. He is RUDE and arrogant beyond belief. Among other things, he ridiculed me when I said I enjoy reading, implying that I was lying. A friend (an M.D.)accompanied me to his office and he was incredibly rude to her as well. She was horrified! I hope the powers that be at Wash U check up on this guy and get rid of him. Any glowing reviews were likely written by him using the name of an unsuspecting patient!

I have had a severe constant headache for almost 2 yrs. I had an appointment with dr black and all he could do is critise my for being a 'fluffy girl' yes I admit my weight is an issue but to only harp on that and ridicule me on that was horrible I left there is tears! This dr is rude and needs to retire!

My experience was very positive. He has a different approach in that he starts from scratch asking questions about the issue rather than depending on what other people may have said about your case. His approach produces an unbiased assessment that I found refreshing, insightful, and useful. He did not want to be interrupted during this thought process, but he explained why he took this approach and his explanation reassured me. I found him to be a personable, thorough, and very competent.
