Dr. Joseph Belmonte, DO

Three hours before arriving at the facility for my procedure, I opened a bottle of water and drank at most two ounces of water to take medications I require. I brought the bottle with me to wet my lips, as my mouth gets very dry from the many medications I take daily. When the staff saw the water bottle, they said the procedure would have to be postponed two hours because the small amount of water that I consumed could, 'aspirate into my lungs and do great harm to me'. I had this procedure done ten times previously and nothing was said to me like this. The doctor himself came in and said that, “yes, I would have to wait two hours'. This was not something I could do, as my friend who drove me had to be at work before that amount of time. I was further put off because they did not even provide a chair in the small changing area for me to sit one. Therefore, I left and said that I would not be returning because the place was a joke.

Dr Belmonte and his wonderful staff discovered what cause my back and hip pain. I'm pain free. He us a caring and genuine Doctor.

I have a very complicated medical history. Dr. Belmonte has been doing all he can to get me some semblance of relief. I will continue working with him and hope to get the implanted device to help manage my pain.

Talked to me like a human being. After seeing several physicians - he set me on the correct path, recommended the correct physicians. Because of him I am walking again pain free.

Dr Belmonte is a wonderful physician! I have been seeing him for several years. He’s compassionate and a great listener. I have chronic back and neck pain. I always feel part of the decision making process. Wish I could give him 10 stars!

I highly recommend Dr. Belmonte!! He has been my doctor for over 4 years before he even had his own practice. I can't say enough good things about him. I have chronic pain from an extremely bad car accident. If it wasn't for him, I don't know what I would do. He is a very compassionate, caring dr. He is not one to push medication or rush to send you to a surgeon. I have many pain issues and even when I feel like there's no hope, he won't give up! He's the absolute best! I'd give him 10 stars!

I have been seeing Dr. Belmonte for over a year now. I have too many issues to list and he NEVER gave up on me. I recently had a spinal stim permanently implanted and now I finally have a life. This man is not only a fantastic and caring doctor, but he is my Angel. He has given me my life back and the spinal stim gives me 98-100% pain relief without drugs. If I could give this man the world, I would. I was teetering on the edge because I have had other doctor's give up on me, but he did NOT.

if you are looking for a pain management doctor who actually listens and works with you toward the solutions that will help alleviate your pain most effectively, please call him. He is willing to work with you, listens to what you say, and if something isn’t working very effectively he works with you to seek alternatives that may work better. Bottom line— he doesn’t give up on you or tell you you just have to live with whatever it is, he tries to find a solution. One of the best doctors ever

Dr Belmonte has been my doctors for years and years. He is the absolute most compassionate doctor that I have ever come across. Having a doctor who believes in me and truly cares about me has been the biggest blessing. He transitioned from a hospital to his new location and he did EVERYTHING in his power to be absolutely sure that it was a smooth transition. I HIGHLY recommend him and his practice to any and everyone. He truly is the best doctor. * Also, his staff is incredible and so caring

I have recommended many to him as I have been completely satisfied with the care I have been given. He's always trying to come up with solutions to my chronic pain. This includes injections, therapy, medications. I've been a patient for 3 years and not sure what I would have done without his excellent medical care. I've us d both private insurance and now Medicare with supplement. Outstanding.

Dr. Belmonte is a doctor that truly cares, and you don't find that very often. I am so grateful for Dr. Belmonte, he saved my life, literally. His staff is attentive, friendly and funny. I believe you get back what you give, and this office has been nothing but wonderful.

Dr Belmonte and his staff are wonderful! They all really care and go above and beyond to help their patients. Dr Belmonte really listened and worked with me to find the best solution for my pain. I trust him completely and would never want to go anywhere else.

The doctors procedures were very good but His staff especially valerie was terrible. I transfered from a hospital that accepted my BCBS of IL and went per his request to his new office in Lombard. I have asked the doctor to call me several times and no one did. I was told after three surgeries that my BCBS his would not accept as in network and I will be billed thousands of dollars. I asked to speak to the doctor and Valerie said ,"no" just pay and he wont take your BCBS. She was rude.

Very disappointed to learn this doctor was more interested in money than his patients...we were fooled! He stopped accepting BCBS HMO because he couldn't get enough money from them, so don't bother unless you're loaded & willing to pay cash! My husband was an established patient & was ubruptly informed that he could no longer see the doctor unless he paid cash. Talk about stressful, having to scramble at the last minute to find a new doctor when you need your prescription refilled...awful!!!

Extremely attentive and honestly cares. I have never felt better, and this was all without the use of narcotics. You really feel like you are part of their family. Would never go anywhere else!

Dr Belmonte listened to everything I was saying and experiencing and took immediate action. I will never forget this nor this wonderful Doctor.
