I DONT RECOMMEND
This is the worst place to go. Straight up told me I don't talk to clients I only give you medication. I asked for the details of the medication and he didn't have an answer. He then pulled out a book to show me what the medication does. He told me he couldn't clear me because if I got the procedure I wanted to get I would feel better and have more energy and he didn't think I could handle it. He knows nothing about my history. He still gave me a prescription without explaining what it does and why I need it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! ZERO STARS

Avoid if possible
Telehealth
4 hour wait for a 10 min consultation which could have been resolved over the phone. Office staff refused to cooperate when explaining the situation. The issue was caused due to a clerical error. Requested Telehealth to avoid the lobby wait and had initially been confirmed. The next morning I was called and told I needed to report in person if I wanted my refill. I sacrificed 4-hours of my workday for a clerical issue. Unacceptable. Avoid this office if possible.

Worst Psychiatric Care
I have been a patient for 3 years and have NEVER met or been seen by the Doctor. My prescriptions are never sent on time and there is always a problem contacting their office. No one answers the phone. The answering service is instructed by the doctor to send any one to the nearest ER if you are out of medication due to their negligence in calling your prescriptions in to the pharmacy. The answering service hangs up on you if you dare ask any questions. No professionalism from anyone at this doctor’s office. They are only interested in collecting your payment and not in your mental health. I would give this doctor 0 stars if it was possible. I will also be filing a complaint with the Texas Medical Board. This doctor should not be practicing medicine. He has no business treating patients with mental health issues.

Complete lack of professionalism
This is single handedly the worst psychiatrist office in all of Texas. They care nothing for their hundreds of patients, and refuse to take any accountability. If you value your mental health, do not put yourself through the nightmare this place is. For shame.

This is the most unprofessional office I've experienced in my life! The staff are the worst. Good luck making an appointment and when you DO finally make an appointment they will flake on you. They will keep you on hold for an hour just to hang up on you. This has happened to me numerous times. They will literally block your calls. I know for a fact they do this because I called literally 50 times in a row to get someone because I literally had an Over the phone appointment with Deborah 3 days ago which STILL nobody has called me back for my appointment?.. I made a new phone number and ta-daa they answered! This office over books clients and neglects their current clients. Steer clear of this place. They should be shut down

This practice is horrible. You never see the dr., only the mid-levels. They treat you like a number, not a patient. Even though I picked up the paperwork for my first appointment, I had to wait 2 hrs to be seen! The mid-level I saw treated me very nonchalantly. I would never recommend this practice to anyone!

TL;DR The doctors are very kind and attentive. The patients seem to be very...impatient. The wait was long as a new patient, but I was well warned ahead of time. The wait was worth it!! I found the staff to be helpful and kind, especially when you are kind back to them (surprise!!) They see many people, and the ones who berated the staff were the ones to recieve slower responses. I can't imagine why anyone would treat another person in such a rude manner just because "they're staff." I saw many people treating the staff like personal servants that could be verbally abused... The environment for the most part was comforting. The chairs are very comfy too!

My psychiatrist for many years. He saved my psychological health after experiencing head trauma with secondary Major Depression & Panic Disorder. I travel across the Rio Grande Valley for my follow up appts. because he is that excellent a psychiatrist. Easy to speak to, communicates well with you, and genuinely cares about your ongoing mental status.

Long term patient in Harlingen, TX – Mar 03, 2019
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Igoa?
Takes no time to speak with patients. Seems like his sole purpose is to keep the beds filled for DHR. Dr Igoa and the hospital program need to be investigated for criminal activity. This man has no concern for patients well being and is nothing but a drug dealer. Expect to see “Dr” Igoa in the news for the many lawsuits pending and more to come as well as a thourough report submitted to appropriate state and federal agencies. Wait time at office over 4 hours... seems like he is well fed DHR.

Somebody has the phone unhooked for about an hour and a half now. This has to stop now! I don't know why the receptionist doesn't answer the phone herself I mean why is she even there? She doesn't do anything let alone stress on the job like a normal person does.
