Dr. Capellan is an awesome Pulmonary doctor! I have COPD and Institatial Pulmonary Fibrosis among other medical issues and he has never failed me! His staff is awesome most specially Jennifer!! Give him a chance! We are living in perilous times! Thanks Dr. Capellan for all you do!!

Dr. Cappellan was completely unconcerned about my pulse oximeter reading of oxygen levels of 74% while on CPAP! His only comment was that I had not stopped breathing for 5 minutes so I was fine. He did not adjust my CPAP pressures nor do anything about my low oxygen levels! The low oxygen levels caused cognitive and memory problems. Pulmonologists should have knowledge about damage caused by low oxygen levels! Dr. Capellan was completely unconcerned and told me to see a pyschiatrist!

I have been trying for 2 months to have someone return my calls regarding my mothers medical records. She was diagnosed 2 days before passing in July. I do not appreciate the office trying to ignore me. Why? Did he do something wrong? Next step Texas Medical Boatd and file complaint. By the way, the 2 months my mother was dying in the hospital, he was gone 3 weeks on vacation with no one understanding what was going on.

I have more confidence in Dr. Capellan than I have had with any other pulmonologist (4) that have treated me for emphysema - total confidence in him, Dr. Capellan was recommended to me 3 years ago by a friend with a rare lung disease, who eventually had lung transplant. I am so glad he did. Dr. Capellan is a true gentleman, kind, compassionate an caring to his patient and their family. He is thorough and takes as much time as necessary to explain and address or answer any concerns.
