Dr. Jose Aquino, MD

Last Tuesday night my wife rushed me to Henderson Hospital with severe chest pain. The great staff got me stabilized and admitted quickly. On Wednesday I met Dr. Aquino who rushed me into the Heart Cath Lab and he and their fantastic staff saved my life. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to Dr. Aquino and his fine staff. I would give a ten star rating if I could.

He was my “cardiologist” at Henderson Hospital while I was there for about 2 weeks for heart and kidney failure. Prior to this, I had never been hospitalized and I never had any notable heart problems. Everything that happened was new to me and I was very confused. “Doctor” Aquino was the WOSRT possible cardiologist that I could have ever had during that experience. He didn’t explain anything about my condition, what caused it, what the outlook might be. In fact, the first time he saw me was 3 days after I was admitted and he was in the room for less than 3 minutes during that first visit. It took him over 36hrs to see me and half way “explain” my heart ultrasound. I got more from the nurses and the hospital doctor than I did from “Doctor” Aquino who was my “cardiologist”. In the 2 weeks I was hospitalized, I saw him for less than 1 cumulative hour-including the time it took for a heart cath. He didn’t even see me after that procedure. He gave me attitude when I called him out.

Dr. Jose Aquino is a phenomenal cardiologist. Great rapport relationship with his patient. Seldom you find this relationship with your provider now. Furthermore with an addition of an exceptional staff, I think her name is Marilou made his team outstanding. Keep it up we need more providers and staff like Marilou to make a big difference in the place we live now
