Dr. Jose Alonso, MD

I was referred to Dr. Jose Alonso a few months ago. Since day one he was very hands on, knowledgeable, had eye to eye contact, told me what my diagnosis was after testing and scans, and set clear expectations. He and the other surgeon did a excellent job on my surgery. Maria from his office also did excellent job getting things approved at the last minute. I would refer anyone to Dr. Alonso!

I had an appointment at 7:30 this morning because I am a teacher and it’s very difficult to get any time off, even if it’s for an emergency. Today I was turned away by the office because a number in the referral form from the PCP was wrong. I spoke with my insurance company yesterday afternoon and they gave me a referral number and assured me that the doctor’s office would not deny me care since the referral was already approved. Unfortunately the office turned me away. They told me that they needed the paper because there were a lot of codes they needed to input. I will be looking for another specialist as it’s clear that this office does not care.
