I have been seeing Dr. Pino for my type 1 diabetes and hypothyroidism for 3-4 years now. He is the absolute best endocrinologist that I’ve seen. He is thorough and makes sure you leave the office understanding what each level of your bloodwork means, gives you new information on recent research studies, gives honest/straightforward information on how to better yourself and is great at explaining why he is doing each test/prescribing each medication.

Great visit. Dr Pino went over lab work and explained the norms and abnormal lab values. Dr Pino went over tests and ultrasounds I previously had, explained, and went over follow-up labs and tests that needed to be done within next 3 months. Great instructions and follow-up suggestions.

My appointment was at 2:00. I didn’t get called back until 2:30. The receptionist was very nice. She went back and ask why they had called a patient before me. When I got in the room , it looked like they had used the room to check someone’s blood sugar and left trash on the counter top. It was after 3 before the doctor came into the room. We discussed my lab work and we talked about taking samples of cholesterol medicine and I would contact him to let him know if it was working or not. On the way home, I received a phone call from my pharmacy where he had called the cholesterol meds in after we had just discussed me taking the samples and getting back with him.

Dr. Pino has always been very forthcoming. He helped me to understand my hypoglycemia even after weight loss surgery. He may not be the most talkative doctor, but he definitely handles business. The office staff was great and very helpful.

Dr Pino has a patient plan and reviews with patient. If change in plan is needed, a discussion with patient is completed. Dr Pino listens to questions and responds accordingly. This visit was a thorough exam with labs completed after exam. Results were available the next afternoon. Recommendation was made for appt with kidney specialist based on test results. 6 month followup appt was made prior to leaving. The exam appears to be very thorough.

Horrible nurse and dr. My husband had is blood taken to find out about his T levels and it came back extremely low. His nurse said to come in so they could do a treatment plan to get my husbands t up but when he came in Dr Pino didn't know what my husband was taking about and didn't do a treatment plan for low T, so a wasted app and money and now we have to find another dr after waiting a month to see Dr Pino. Oh also they did his blood and didn't put it in the portal. Find another endo that is helpful and still not sure the disconnect but if we knew they weren't going to treat his low T we wouldn't of came back in so I guess they just wanted to get some money before we cut ties with this dr.

Dr. Pino seems very knowledgeable when I am in his office and he is very thorough. There does seem to be some disconnect that is very concerning. Every single time I have bloodwork, I get two or three calls from his office giving me different instructions. I’ve been told to take different dosages of medicine from multiple calls about the same bloodwork. It is very concerning. I have taken more medication than I should because of a couple of the calls. I don’t know if they don’t keep a record of the calls they make or what the problem is. This has been such a consistent problem that I need to find a new doctor with better communication.

I am/was a patient of Dr. Pino. I had not seen him in 12 months, and my insulin rx ran out. I called to request a refill, and was told Dr Pino refused to authorize this without an appointment. Understandable in part. I said I would be happy to make an appointment, but I am a type one diabetic without insulin, and I don't particularly want to die. The nurse actually hung up on me. She did not schedule me an appointment. I am appalled. While I do understand the doctor's reluctance to write a prescription without an appointment, as my endocrinologist he would know I am a type 1 diabetic, meaning I am completely insulin dependent, and that I had expressed I was completely out. Though I was not given the option to know when the first available opening was to be seen, I do not see any reason the doctor could not authorize an RX for one vial of insulin to make sure I do not die in the meantime. I had to buy insulin from someone on the internet. I will be making an appt with a different doc

Love Dr Pino, but last time I was in his office he told me to come back in 6 months. They told me they couldn't book that far out but they would call me. It's 9 months later and I haven't gotten a call and I need to see him! He is a great Dr. and it's not his fault I can't get them to call me.

He seems ok, but his staff, especially his nurse is arrogant and extremely mouthy. When asked to call in a prescription refill, she acts like you are taking up her time and gets puffed up about it, and she doesn't call you back with your results like she says she'll do and gets angry for you calling her when the physician tells you to call them. She's NOT a good nurse, and doesn't need to work in an office environment. I WOULD FIND A DIFFERENT DOCTOR and OFFICE. DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE!!!!!!!!

Dr. Pino is a nice man and a pretty good Dr. My biggest problem is the WAIT time. I have waited as long as 2 1/2 hrs from arrival time until I saw the Dr. I can not remember a time that I have not waited at least an hour to see him. I'm not doing it any more. I have complained and nothing has changed. I'm switching Dr's.

Office will not return calls. I wasn't able to receive prior authorization because they didn't follow up like they said. You're required to be seen every 3 months but there's no communication. Doctor is ok.

Dr. Pino is generally acceptable as far as ability and attentiveness. His receptionist is always rude and seems to resent the patients. In my most recent visit, as I waited to see him, I heard an office staffer ask the receptionist who was on hold. Her response was, I don't know I just picked up the phone and put them on hold. My appointment was cancelled, and I was told to come back in March. When I requested a referral, suddenly an appointment became available in two weeks.
