Excellent Internist. My only complaint is the communication with their office to schedule or change appointments, you have to call an average of 10 times before someone answers. on the other hand the wait time is sometimes long, but its worth it.

He isn’t thorough in his exam and gave me the wrong diagnosis twice. I was lucky to seek a second opinion who was able to identify my real problem. He is friendly and easy to like but that’s not what matters most in a doctor.

Excelente médico. El problema es el personal. Muy difícil para tener seguimiento haces cita y la cancelan después que afanas por tener los estudios nunca te atienden cuando pude el médico. Luego te regañan como si fueras irresponsable, claro es la palabra de uno contra la de las que tienen su sueldito ahí seguro. Muy triste pq me refirió mi cardiólogo ya que mi internista se fue de puerto rico después del huracán María. Ojalá y el cambiará su personal de asistencia en la oficina.

Dr. Mattei is great. He treated me one time, very knowledgable, funny and took the time to listen. However, I was never ever able to schedule an appointment again. Receptionists gave me the evil eye from day one, and later were rude, bullies ... will not answer the phone, leave you and hold, and tell you they are busy to call later... Eventually called and got them to talk to me and was told the doctor never has a slot until 3 or 4 months ahead. I tried explaining that I just wanted the doctor to see the results of some tests and they put me in a "waiting list" No one ever called to follow-up. Called again, same loop. This whole ordeal lasted a year. I finally asked for my record, and got a snappy receptionist telling it was my fault... for not scheduling an appointment (!)
