Took time to discuss my concerns. Explained everything very well. Staff was awesome.

First of all I am in my mid eighties. I was hoping to find a cardiologist that would take me on to follow my care ; and especially be thorough and caring of me as a person to look out for my best interest. However, that has not been the case. My concern of an abnormal EKG was not taken very seriously obviously because the Dr. scheduled me for a Echocardiogram six months after my initial appointment. At my age that seems taking my care very lightly. Finally, when the Echocardiogram was completed six months later, the follow up to discuss the results was scheduled two weeks after that. So in essence ,any major concerns of my abnormal EKG was never really addressed at my follow-up visit (26 wks later). He did not talk about anything other then to say everything looks normal and to see me again in one year. No explanation of how to take care of myself, what not to do until he sees me again. I will always be wondering because I notice when I am mobile I get shortness of breath .

Dr. Jorge Alvarez installed my Aortic Valve replacement and was a huge part in saving my life!!! There are not enough words to express the worth of this Cardiac Surgeon!!! I highly recommend him!!!

I've known Dr. Alvarez since he began his practice at the Cardiology Clinic of S.A. He is a wonderful, caring, and concerned physician and his knowledge in the field is surpassed by none.

I recently started having chest pain that was worsening. I discussed treatment/testing options with Dr. Alvarez and we decided to do a catheterization. Unfortunately, I tested Covid positive and was going to be rescheduled. Dr. Alvarez was concerned enough about my story that he worked with Methodist Hosp Cath lab to ensure I got treated. Good thing. If not for his diligence I most likely would have had a heart attack during quarantine. Quick overnight stay and I feel great. He has a great bedside manner and is very empathetic with his patients and the staff.

A typical group practice. Physician’s Assistant Denise Vega is condescending and arrogant. No follow through, no communication and impossible to obtain records.

My wife and I recently consulted Dr. Alvarez. We found him to be very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. His staff was as he was, efficient and pleasant. They followed Covid precautions without being burdensome. We would recommend him very highly.

Friendly front desk staff, short wait time, knowledgeable and friendly nurses, Dr always willing to take time to explain in detail what his findings are and the same in answering questions.

First apptmnt was as scheduled and on time. The nurse asked me numbers regarding my health situation, regarding my medic. Dr. asked me questions regarding my health, listened to my answers. it was very confortable environment, Dr. was very easy to communicate with, and very competent. I was doing very well. my stint was working as it should and as a result Dr. Alvarez informed me my next follow up will be in a year. He asked me if I need any medic refills. I fell like i am in the hand of the best Cardiologist and would refer him with no hesitation

With what is going on now this is the best way. still get to see the doc.

THIS DOCTOR IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT.YOU CAN NOT FIND BETTER TREATMENT THAN THAT HE AND HIS COLLEAGUES GIVE.MY WIFE IS ALSO HIS PATIENT.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alvarez for about 18 months. I can say he is a wonderful physician, knowledgeable, informative and attentive to my concerns. At our first appointment he said, don’t worry we will find out what is going on and make you better. The entire staff is competent and friendly. I fell lucky to have him as my cardiologist.

Dr Alvarez is a 5 GOLDEN Star TAVR Surgeon! He is a wonderful caring person and this is so important in a Doctor. We highly recommend him if you have to have an Aorta Valve Replacement and qualify for the TVAR procedure.

I have taken my mother to Dr. Alvarez for a couple of years now . He explains things to her and shows compassion. He ensures she understands his explanations and never appears to be rushed. I would highly recommend him.
