Good visit
I had a few minor skin concerns, a pre pregnancy related question, and just wanted a general checkup. The clinic seemed to be at least 20 minutes behind but once I was seen I didn't feel rushed and Dr. Blachman listened to my concerns, gave advice and reached out to my OB regarding the pre pregnancy question, and we had a nice conversation about our interests.

Time to Retire: A Disappointing Experience
I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Dr. Blachman was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share. From the moment I arrived for my scheduled appointment, the atmosphere was off-putting. I was kept waiting for an unreasonable amount of time, and when I finally got to see the doctor, she blamed me for her poor scheduling, as if it were my fault she was running behind. The lack of empathy was glaringly obvious. Instead of listening to my concerns and symptoms, she was dismissive and seemed uninterested in providing any helpful medical advice. I felt unheard, rushed, and ultimately, like I wasted my time visiting this practice. What really tipped the scale for me was the doctor's unapologetic attitude. There was no acknowledgment of her poor behavior or any attempt to make the experience right. It's clear that she is past her prime and should consider retiring, as she's not providing the level of care and empathy patients deserve.

My experience with Dr. Blachman has been unpleasant and frustrating. Our first appointment got off to a bad start within the first minute she walked into the exam room. She questioned my diagnosis of an autoimmune disease without thoroughly reading through my medical history. She was also cocky and rude. As such, I scheduled a consult with a Dr. within the network who specializes in the autoimmune disorder I have. This doctor included specific notes in my medical history for my GP (Blachman) to follow in regard to annual tests, etc. Dr. Blachman ignored the notes. She takes up to 5 days to respond to email. Ultimately, her lack of care caused me to miss getting some lab work done before leaving town. Several months later, I inquired about scheduling a test for COVID-19, bc I would be traveling for work. Her response, "we don't test well folk." Meanwhile, another doctor approved the testing. Her lack of care, her lack of sincere engagement, + her poor communication skills are shocking.

Very Sad! I met her 5 years ago and really liked her. Sadly I was diagnosed with cancer 2.5 years ago (not by her) and things went downhill from there with her. My Oncologist asked me to consult with my primary recently and when I saw Dr. Blachman I was shocked. First, I heard her make a very rude comment regarding my situation before she came into the room and once with me (and an intern) she was HORRIBLE. Im not sure if she has been sick or what, but she has lost lots of weight, changed her hair color and her attitude! After all I have been through in the last 2.5 years with cancer treatment, I do not need my primary caregiver to trivialize the current issues at hand. Dr. Blachman, take a step back and get back to who you used to be! I am currently seeking a new doctor within Kaiser.

I'm a new-ish patient of Dr. Blachman's (about 10 months), but I have nothing but great things to say about her. She's been helpful, caring, and responsive every time I've reached out. Would highly recommend her.

She didn't listen to my problem and I think her personal biases were getting in the way of her practice. For reference, I am >150 pounds, but carry it well and am fairly young. The whole time she seemed to look down on me as though I was a cheerleader or something - which, even if I had been, shouldn't matter. She was quite overweight, and I think she thought anyone smaller than her has a problem. She ordered a bunch of $$ unnecessary tests due to her biases, but they were perfectly normal.

Minimal bedside manner. Defensive and patronizing. Doesn't seem up-to-date on possible treatment strategies for certain issues. Felt like she wasn't a collaborator as much as an adversary. Decided to switch doctors after giving her a try of a handful of years and getting nowhere in developing any kind of warm, professional relationship - the type that I expect from, and typically develop with, with my providers.

She is terrible!! Horrible bedside manners and insulting. Doesn't explain anything. She scheduled an appointment for me to tell me I didn't need to keep coming in to see her. Huh?? She spoke to the medical intern and not me, the patient. Takes no time to get to know you and your medical history. Doesn't even say hi when she walks in. Can't wait to change doctors. If you want a cold doctor who doesn't address your concerns, then this is your perfect match. I've been a member for 40 years.
