Didn’t feel safe
They don’t wash their hands or change gloves. I had to ask them several times and every one of them got upset and made sure to show it.

a little over 6 weeks ago I had contracted covid. When I was getting better I decided to get a test & it came back that I had covid. Since I hadnt been sick (With symptoms) since for weeks since I had a fever, I was released by the county a few days after I got my results back due to covid Tracking. So I booked an appt for my eyes later that week. The day of my appointment the front desk checked my temp. Then in the exam room, the nurse asked me about covid. I told her everything as above She went to tell the other nurse. They started whispering then closed the door. Dr heffez comes in angrily & aggressively asks me " Who told you that you can come into my office?!" I explained to him the situation. he slammed the door and left. he then came back Asked me for proof that I was released as if I should walk around with a covid badge. he then rushed the rest of the appt, and walked me out the back door. Also he didnt change gloves between patients my last 2 appts, I had to ask him to

After having an acute change in vision while out of state, I was referred to Dr. Heffez by an ophthalmologist friend. I immediately found him to be very no nonsense without being short. He ran a battery of tests which found some very vague abnormalities, which most doctors would likely have written off. Dr. Heffez took the time to chase after what I thought was a long shot, but what turned out to be exactly the problem. He diagnosed me with a very rare degenerative eye disease, fortunately before any permanent damage had been done. He referred me to a uveal specialist in Baltimore who confirmed the diagnosis. Kudos to Dr. Heffez for not writing me off as just another guy with a vague complaint.
