Unfortunately, Dr. Dow made life altering decisions for my 15 year old son without speaking to us (parents) or any of the medical professionals who know him best (psychiatrist of 5 years, therapist, and the treatment team at his current residential facility). He protected HIMSELF before putting the very, very fragile needs of a struggling 15 year old first. When explaining this to him (while under extreme stress over his decisions he told me 'I cannot vent to a doctor and hung up'. Over these last couple years we as a family have seen MANY compassionate and caring people who put our sons needs first. Dr. Dow absolutely did not.

Dr. Dow was very kind and respectful. He showed real concern and listened to what I was saying, which is rare in doctors these days.
