0/5 if I could. I was subjected to a very inappropriate phone contact at this location. There is a complete disregard for ethics. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to be treated here as they clearly do not care for the feelings of their patients. The patient experience involves not just the physician care but also the values of the employees around him. I was brushed aside without even an apology for my concerns as a patient. Mission, vision, and values of the organization were clearly not considered when this event was reviewed. It is sad to see this happen as I went out of my way to be seen at this location due to the specialty. If I had a Time Machine I would go back and never visit this location. I would prefer the non-Dignity Health location as originally referred. Patients beware.

Dr Tammela did an amazing job with my ovarian cancer surgery and treatment. I found him to be very caring and very professional. His staff was also wonderful. I have absolute trust in him and am thankful he was there at a very scary time in my life.

Robotic Surgery Rockstar. If I lived on the other side of the world I would travel to Santa Maria to be treated by Dr. Tammela.

What a jerk. Hard to imagine how he could have a worse bedside manner-- more than just arrogant, a real jerk. He's no unicorn-- plenty of good docs around, without subjecting yourself to his brusque, uninterested manner. The office staff is horrible, unfriendly and unhelpful. They take their cue from him, no doubt.

So grateful for dr Tammela and office staff. He performed a full hysterectomy due to severe stage 4 endometriosis. I am now feeling great and they have been so helpful throughout the entire process. So glad my Gyn sent the referral to de tammela. Very talented Dr.

Dr. Tammela performed a hysterectomy on me removing everything but ovaries. It was a very unexpected procedure I needed to have done, I was scared out of my mind and he put me at ease. He also did an absolutely amazing job. I had to have a vertical incision, but I had no nerve damage and the scar has healed beautifully. He is wonderful doctor, with an outstanding staff.

My experience with dr. Tammela was a very positive one...the procedure itself was not something I would ever want to do again but Dr. Tammela is very caring and understanding. I had a problem with pain on a Sunday and he took the call himself, very impressive. Everyone in his office was very nice also.

Dr. Tammela has 2 outstanding nurse practitioners who are female; Martha and Kristen. When you are facing a very personal female crisis regarding your health, these women know just the right words and instruction to give you. They are intelligent, compassionate and reassuring. The entire team is fabulous
