Made a good first impression
He listened thoroughly and had a great plan to help treat my crohn’s. I did feel like other symptoms were ignored. Ultimately sought out a new GI doctor because his office takes months to properly fill out prior authorization. Meanwhile i am suffering or forced to take very terrible immunosuppressants in the meantime. Follow ups were nearly non-existent.

I have mixed feelings about Dr. Myers
My first impressions of Dr. Myers were excellent. He was an excellent listener. He explained what he wanted to do, and he worked me into his busy schedule almost two months earlier than an associate of his was willing to do.After the test, he informed me that I had cancer and that he would get me the best cancer doctor. Because of the type of insurance, I have he would need to do a referral before I could see the doctor. A week later and my insurance has not received the referral. Needless to say, I am disappointed in the fact that my insurance has not received a referral. Calling his office is useless. Getting a returned call, is like winning the lottery. Good luck!!! Dr. Myers did call me and try to explain why it was taking so long. His assistant called the next day and explained Dr. Myers sent the referral to a physician out of network, and I had to explain that was not acceptable, so she said she would take care of it. I am hoping that it will be taken care of.

Very Friendly / Little Follow-Through
Very good initial meeting. Friendly staff and doctor. Explained procedure well. But there were problems after an endoscopy procedure, during the weekend. Dr Myers was called and he said to wait until Monday to discuss. Patient has Stage 4 esophageal cancer, with problems consuming anything after the endoscopy. He vomited continually and was unable to take any medications. The doctor should have called the patient instead of telling him to wait for 'office hours'.

Left 3 messages. Never returned the call.
I left Clovis Community Hospital ER a few days ago due to an acute gallbladder attack. Dr. Myers is my current GI doctor. I called 3 times, and left messages each time to get in to see him and schedule surgery. He never called back. My husband ended up taking me to Stanford ER, and I’m getting set to have surgery next week. Dr. Myers never delayed scheduling me for endoscopies or colonoscopies $$$. But, when I’m in pain and need help, he can’t be bothered to call back. Lesson learned.
