Don’t use this doctor.
I would strongly advise not using this doctor. He destroyed my vision in my left eye during a surgery for a minor problem. And then he lied to me about it, telling me it was blood and would clear up in time. I kept going in for a while and he kept telling me it would come back. I have since gone to St Luke and they showed me what he fid wrong and told me my eyesight would never cone back. I confronted him but he was hostile and rude.

Dr. Mines is a top notch practitioner. Yes, sometimes the wait times are long. However, I was one of the emergencies he worked into his schedule— so I understand that situations present themselves which he does not have control over. Extremely attentive to patients; you get 100 per cent of his time and attention. He is always so courteous-apologized and thanks you for waiting. How many physicians do that. So grateful a practitioner with his experience is local to our atea

I would agree with one of the other reviews concerning wait time - too long, however, once you are in the chair you will get 110% of his attention and answers to any questions - especially if they are related to tennis.....

Dr. Mines operated on my husband who was very apprehensive about the vision in his left eye. Dr. Mines was so thorough, professional, kind, and reassuring. His office staff is pleasant to work with. The surgery went well. Dr. Mines called me as soon as it was done then met me personally in the lobby while my husband was in recovery. I would definitely recommend.

I was referred to Dr. Mines because I could not see out of my left eye. I thought he got the best recommendation; he sent his Mom to Dr. Mines and wouldn't have sent her anywhere else. .After examination, testing, and conversation, Dr..Mines told me what was wrong, how he was going to fix it, and the estimated recovery period. I felt very confident in his skill, and he has never disappointed me. His manner is gentle and honest, and comforting. I would send my mother to him too.

My husband has been treated by several doctors for his diabetic retinopathy. Until we met Dr. Mines, all of the doctors were taking a reactive approach - waiting until bleeding occurs and then treating. As these bleeds were unpredictable, he was missing a lot of work and in danger of losing his job. It was a constant worry over whether he would wake up and be able to see. Dr. Mines is the first ophthalmologist we have seen that wanted to take a more proactive approach to his care.
