My Hero
Dr Linthicum is the most caring Dr I’ve ever been to! And most definitely the greatest surgeon I’ve ever had! I had a prosthetic knee that went really bad causing damage to my tibia and fibula. I was in extreme pain pain for over two years even on Fentanyl! When I had my first visit with him after seeing my X-Ray he scooted his stool over to me in wheelchair, took my hand and said he was so sorry I had to have waited so long to get help! This was 8 months into COVID. The hospital was not taking any “elected” surgeries. He went to bat for me and I went to surgery within days. He told me replacing a prosthetic knee usually takes about an hour. I was in surgery for three hours repairing the damage that had been done. I was completely PAIN free in five Weeks!!! Something I didn’t think possible! I’m still pain free after more than two years. Not only is he a very skilled surgeon he is also a very caring one. He is more than worth waiting for! I give him at least a 100 gold stars!

Dr. Linthicum did my full hip replacement surgery March 2022 - and the results were fantastic! He's smart, caring & has a good staff. His expertise along with the super caring nurses at Kootenai Hospital made it a good situation. I would highly recommend him.

I consulted with the doctor on 07-13-20. He was attentive to my presentation. Asked succinct and pertinent questions to either clarify or expands on certain details of the symptoms I had presented and then proceeded to offer a continuum of options, as well as his recommendation. I felt comfortable with his demeanor. And would not hesitate to recommend him.

A tragic fall left me in the hands of his care. This was my first surgery and I was very nervous. Everything went well and I was told he did an excellent job. Thank you so very much for the caring nurses who answer all my questions. A broken tibia and fibula is awful and painful. Their is a long journey of healing ahead of me but I will recover 100%. ??

He was over an hour late. He rushed through the visit, hardly looked at the MRI results, did not physically examine me at all. He said he was going to give me a prescription for some anti-inflammatories but di not do it. He said he was going to give me a referral to physical therapy and did not do that either. A complete waste of my time and money. He did not earn his money at all.

Dr. Linthicum and his staff excel at helping their patients. From pursuing getting my VA authorization, to setting surgery and appointment dates, I always felt that they had my best interests in mind. I've used them for two knee replacements and have been exceptionally happy with the results from both.

Doc Linthicum examined, consulted on condition of my Knee - - "significant bone-to-bone Arthritis with bone spurs formed & deteriorating bone". I opted as an interim a steroid shot lasting 12 weeks, relieved swelling, but replacement recommended.. my first visit was in post falls, was not sure if I was in right place, and had asked if this was the clinic, she was rude. I am busy typing information, "u could either answer yes or no" so walked out waited for 40 min in my car,as both knee hurt

Had a good appointment. Dr. is a very good communicator. He explained what surgery I needed. Made me feel at ease. He followed up on another problem I had. Dr. resolved the problem after an X ray. Was all completed in a short time frame. It only took one week to get an appointment. Everyone was very friendly.

Dr. Linthicum is personable and easy to talk to. I felt confident he will make the right decisions for my orthopedic problems. He did not rush to judgement and talked right away about surgery as I experienced with a different doctor not affiliated with Kootenai Clinic. He allowed me the luxury of time to explain my problems, a rarity in today’s clinic appointments. I will continue with Dr. Linthicum and trust I will get the best care.

Doc Linthicum examined, consulted on condition of my Knee - - "significant bone-to-bone Arthritis with bone spurs formed & deteriorating bone". I opted as an interim a steroid shot lasting 12 weeks, relieved swelling, but replacement recommended. Steroid shot works terrific & pain significantly reduced. In short, the Doc & his team care & is very competent. I'm slowly planning for the replacement because wife & I are splitting & Ii gotta keep up with our two active 7-year old twins.
