Dr. Jonathan Koppel

Koppel substituted for my ill PCP for a physical scheduled months earlier. He was impatient, distracted. He asked why I was there- he should have known, for a physical scheduled months before. I told him I needed blood work, including sugar and cholesterol and that a neurologist told me to do the tests, but Koppel didn't want to do them. I had to insist on it. Koppel, seeing on the computer the meds I was taking for gerd, became nasty, critical, ridiculing me! I was taking them per a gastroenterologist at Mt Sinai, which he could have seen on his computer. He sent in the nurse to take my blood. I assumed he would return to do the physical, since he had done nothing, but he didn't return. He coded my appointment as a 'routine exam,' knowing that Medicare would not pay for it. He was uninterested in what I had to say. He was nasty, disrespect, incompetent and didn't do the physical I was there for.
