Dr. Jonathan Dreifus, MD

Dr. Dreifus and his staff were very detailed about my upcoming operation. They answered every question I had about hernia surgery, putting me at ease with professional, competent demeanors. Went the extra mile to get specific, showed caring, patience, and understanding, which dissipated my nervousness. I was very thankful. And I know I'm in good hands.

Very rude , he didn’t listen to me and if I said something he would shoot me down with some arrogant response. I brought somebody there with me and they immediately felt the same way. He makes you feel like you’re wasting his time. I personally don’t know why main health has him on board as a surgeon. I would never let him operate on me. I felt bad for his medical assistant took me over a month to get an appointment. And now I have to start all over again waiting for an appointment with another surgeon. He’s absolutely the worst. Don’t waste your time.

I contacted Dr. Dreifus's office because he was highly recommended and I’m glad I did (and that some of these reviews did not change my mind). Frankly, my foremost concern was his medical acumen, not his personality, but am emerging from his care amply happy with both. He explained my condition and procedure well, listened to my concerns, and ensured we understood each other. I felt seen and heard as an individual both in his office and at the hospital just prior to surgery. And, most importantly, he did a great job removing my gall bladder. His office is well run, considerate of patients' time and needs, and staffed by wonderful people. It feels like medicine is still practiced as an art and a science there instead of just a business. At every turn, I felt confident I was in good and capable hands. Although I hope not to need to, I would return to Dr. Dreifus for future care in a heartbeat. He is a consummate professional. Many thanks to him and his exceptional team.

I needed a quick appendectomy. I’m 70. He was quick alright. They sent me home around midnight. I had complications. I received no help from his staff. Over a week and he hasn’t check on me. What’s not funny????? Stupid doctor jokes about being able to wear a bikini. Sexism. He thinks he’s so great.

Went to Dr. Dreifus for a post surgical second opinion. It was more than a waste of time and money! At the beginning of the appointment he declared he IS THE EXPERT but did not listen, care, or offer any solution or advice other than live with the pain! He talked over me and was down right ignorant. He acted like he was annoyed before he even spoke. No manners or compassion! He had a snarky response for every statement or question I asked, and that’s only when he shut up long enough to hear what I was saying. I’m guessing he’s buddies with the original surgeon.. and we all know how loyalties are within certain professions! I’m glad someone was with me to witness his attitude because it would be otherwise unbelievable. I have lost faith in the medical profession after my visit with him! Just plain RUDE! I do not recommend anyone waste time with him.

I had an appointment today with Dr. Dreifus and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a physician. He was very rude and unprofessional to me making me very uncomfortable. It was clear that he was not in a good mood and he took it out on me and also his staff. I was so upset on how I was treated that I had to speak with the office manager.
