I was sent home to die
Zero stars should be an option. I visited this ER on April 1. I thought I had food poisoning. I had been sick the entire day and night before with abdominal pain that caused vomiting and diarrhea. My friend took me to this ER, and they would not even acknowledge my presence until my friend checked me in via the computer check-in. I was on my hands and knees in severe pain. The doctor on call examined me and ordered bloodwork - both of which indicated something was very wrong. I received medicine and fluids via IV and was released to go home. No urine test or CT scan was done. Eight hours later I was in emergency surgery with a burst appendix. I spent seven days in the hospital recovering from the surgery and a secondary infection that involved having a tube inserted through my nose and down my throat to drain the infection from my stomach. The ER doctor went with my assumption of food poisoning and never discussed anything else with me - including my high white blood count. Further, I
