Caution, Jon Wingert MD is a primary care physician with poor communication skills and questionable medical judgment. He fails to supply a holistic treatment plan integrating informed advice about both physical and mental health. At intake, he was stigmatizing at the mere mention of my psych diagnosis yet he obviously understood little when questioned. At a follow-up appointment, my main concerns were constipation, bloating, nausea, and indigestion possibly due to gastroparesis. Oddly enough, he failed to order any necessary tests whatsoever. Instead, in a careless and curt manner, he handed me a slip of paper with the brand name of a new expensive drug for 'irritable bowel syndrome' without commenting on this unsubstantiated diagnosis. Evidently, he relies on pharmaceutical salespeople dropping by his office. Nonetheless, I followed his instructions, but the new prescription made the bloating only worse. When I later complained, the front desk denied me further medical treatment.

This was first visit to Dr. Wingers. His nurse was very professional and listened and took notes of my medical problems. Dr. Wingert treated me with respect and listened to my concerns and took notes. He made suggestions and gave me his professional advice but respected my decisions. He summarized his plans and promptly made referrals that I requested,. I was very satisfied and overall experience was great.
