Dr. Jon Vanderweele, DO

Horrible bedside manner! Rude, condescending, and disrespectful. Straight up fabricated his documentation related to my visit! Save yourself time and money and find another ENT, this man just wants your hard earned money and has ZERO interest in patient care!

I waited 3.5 months to meet with Dr. Vanderweele for a 30 minute middle ear consultation. The results of that was a referral to one of the best ENT Neurosurgeons in New York State. I was thrilled. I finally had my Surgery at one of the finest facilities at the University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital and I couldn't have asked for a better team of providers. I did not get that same reception with Dr. Vanderweele's staff at GLPP Jamestown, and I will not be returning there anytime soon. It's a good place to get a referral.

Absolutely GREAT doctor IF you can get in to see him. He has a months long waiting list to see him and when you are a patient do not expect to get in to see him in less than a month if you’re having a major problem. Then don’t be surprised if they cancel on you and change your appointment to a month after that and then change your appointment again in less than 24 hours and then tell you that appointment was a glitch and you’re back to the extra month long wait. So over two months for a major problem. There is no sense of urgency with the office staff. I’d give them a GIANT ZERO!! They told me they have no nurses. I told them I’ll find another doctor.

I have been having trouble with ears. Been at upmc twice with vertigo, admitted & have every test known to medical science. I kept saying my ears hurt, they run with fluid & are swollen inside. But Dr. VanDerweele refused appt. My dr is visiting her family in the Phillipines for a month. Perhaps I should fly to Phillipines, get a note from her. Instead I found a wonderful doctor in Erie but the transportation will cost me.

Excellent caring physician. He had great bedside manners, a sense of humor, and quickly got me in for care. His staff has been very friendly to me and there was nothing I’d change about my experience. He quickly identified my issue, after months of other Care providers not figuring it out. I now have hope to get past this and will recommend his office to anyone.

Awful experience. Very unprofessional to call the day before appointment and cancel it on you because 2 weeks ago my child was at his doctors for the same symptoms he gets every 2 weeks so we could get the ENT referral and we didn’t get a Covid test.. so the doctor wanted to make us wait another 2 weeks to see him. Will never recommend this doctor. Found a new one in Buffalo. The office staff is also very rude.
