Dr. Jolly Ombao, MD

My visit went very well. I had a pain shot in my back. The staff is very understanding and caring. Dr. Jolly is totally engaged in my care and outcome. He talked me through what was being done to make the whole thing less stressful. I would highly recommend him and his staff!

Have issues with stenosis and other back related issues and injections are not helping. Tried other types of injections. No luck after the first one. Found a surgeon for me and discussed other options in his office. Determined to help. Wish this Dr. Was a family physician. Thorough,knowledgeable, you are his number one priority, This Dr. Called me on his way to treat patients to offer assistance and a plan of action. Love what this Dr. has done for me and will be forever grateful. Although I am not sure what route I'll be taking and will wait for his opinion. This man is a large Diamond in the Rut(literally) He is Geisingers Holy Grail and they better cherish this man because he is what is keeping them above water. I can't say enough about him. If you are his patient you are one lucky person. Everyone knows treatment with pain is the luck of the draw but he doesnt give up and finds other options to try...I wish he was incharge of all my care. Thank you Dr....

Dr. Ombao has been my Pain management doctor since I moved to NJ from Baltimore, MD in 2021 and he has helped me relieved much of my pain issues in every area of my body. He knowledge of pain medicine is vast I will miss him when he changes practices in July.

Very thoughtful and considerate. He has always has been able to find different ways to ease my back and leg pain.

Dr Ombao has been my pain doctor for quite a while now and I appreciate all the time he takes to come up with a plan of treatment and explains each part so well. Dr. Ombao is a fantastic doctor. He is very personable, extremely intelligent, a great communicator, well organized and very conscientious. I have never felt that my appointment was rushed. He took a great deal of time to listen to me, going through a detailed history of my ailments, to correctly diagnose my condition. He collaborated with me and then came up with a plan to successfully wean me off a high dose Opioid that I had been taking for years. When I was experiencing severe, excruciating pain in my left shoulder my orthopedic doctor sent me to a facility for pain management that I went to previously for my right shoulder. The doctor I had before was no longer at that facility, but Dr. Jolly Ombao was, and I am extremely happy that he was. Dr. Jolly Ombao is one of the most knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, enthusiastic doctors I have ever met. He actually listens to you. I know that sounds amazing, but he actually does listen, and he talks to you in a way that makes you comfortable in the belief that he knows exactly what your issue is and how to treat it. I suffer from spinal stenosis. I visited 4 pain management physicians in the past 4 years attempting to ease my pain. None were successful until I met Dr. Ombao. From the day I met Dr. Ombao, he was kind and passionate. I explained I had a craniotomy done,and was experiencing was great head pain on the side of my eye where my screws were. Not only did he take the time to listen,he took pictures, he truly spoke to me in a way that I could understand. He understood that I was extremely against any form of opids,and worked extremely hard with me in giving me the right medication that would work for me. I love his patience and bedside manners. Icame to Dr, Ombao with a very bad L4/L5 problem. He reviewed my diagnostic tests and came up with a very effective treatment plan. We did a series of epidurals and just a few days ago he did a unique strategy on my epidural where he focused on treating both the right and left sciatic nerve areas. Right now i have no pain, and i haven't felt so pain free in 10 years! I want to say that he he had good judgement overall , and a gentle hand when giving an epidural.

I had been to several doctors with fancy commercials full of promises only to be turned away. My last Hope was to call my insurance and get a list of doctors who might be able to help me. No one was available until I called Dr. Ombao The words of kindness that I was given over the phone, before I ever got to the office I will never forget nor will I forget how fast I was able to get into his office because he could hear the pain in my voice. I felt very comfortable from the minute I walked in. I explained what was going on and for the first time I was told we had options! And it wasn't surgery!! I have had two procedures over several visits and I can't even tell you my cane is now a doorstop!! I enjoy walking my dogs once again, and although I do still have some pain it is nothing in comparison to what I felt the day I walked through the office doors for the first time! Dr. Ombao was so very helpful. I had been recommended for lumbar surgery but wanted to try interventional pain management before proceeding. I suffered with leg pain for 10 months and after just one injection by Dr. Ombao I feel so very much improved. He treated my symptoms-not my MRI and his treatment was extremely effective. I am fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Ombao and am sincerely appreciative for his expertise.
