I was referred to Dr. Zambos office by my health insurance and my dermatologist. I made an appointment and got one 3 weeks later. The day before my appointment, the receptionist calls me to confirm my insurance and tells me that even though I have Cigna she is not accepting my insurance and she cancels my appointment on me. I got my insurance provider to call the office directly and they confirmed my coverage but because I didn't show up on whatever screen she was looking at, she continued to refuse. How can they do this?!?! And why wait until the day before the appointment to do it? Now my much needed surgery will be put on hold while I scramble to find another doctor.

My name is Kimberly and I was Diagnosed in April 2016 with a high and strong stage 3 cancer. We had to find a surgeon and we came across Dr John Zambos in Titusville so we looked him up and he seemed to be a good dr but not high on bedside manners. We decided to go with him mainly cause we where looking for a good dr and one that was straight forward and will let us know things like it was, we weren’t looking for a friend. He was straight forward told us from the start what we would be going through but we would have to fight. Fight is what we did and he was there explaining everything each visit. It was a very hard 7 months of chemo, surgery and radiation but my team of doctors and my loving family and most of all my husband all made it through. We just hit my 5 yr mark and dr Zambos just released me but said if I had any questions to just call. We are very thankful of the path we chose and if you need a good and very smart and intelligent surgeon then Dr John Zambos is ur surgeon.

This Dr. scheduled my appointment to remove the stitches from shoulder surgery on a day his office was closed. I went to my appt and called for many times, but my stitches became infected, so I went to a my GP to get them removed. I paid IN FULL before the surgery, yet got a bill for hundreds of $$, demanding payment. I called the office, and the receptionist was extremely rude and said I gave her the wrong phone number, and never left a message—completely untrue. I still have pain. Terrible.

Dr. Zambos just performed an emergency appendectomy on my daughter. It was an extremely stressful time, and late in the evening, and he spent the time explaining to me how surgery went (including pictures!) and answering all my questions. Superb doctor...I didn't just feel like another face in the crowd. Highly, highly recommend!

Dr Zambos is a very good surgeon. I had smoldering diverticulitis that required colon resection surgery to my large and small intestines due to infection and an abscess. He is very experienced and straight forward in his communications. I would highly recommend Dr. Zambos for anyone needing surgery. I was told he has performed something like 30.000 surgeries over his distinguished career.
