Dr. John Wolford Jr, MD

I recently had a papsmear at McCleod Women's health. My pap results were negative as always, but I was referred to McCleod Health for a colonoscopy due to my age. Dr. Wolford conducted it and when finished he gave me the results and told me he removed a large polyp with no recommendations for care after this type procedure. I was just coming from under sedation when he spoke with me and he left as quickly as he arrived so I wasn't able to ask questions. I now have pain on the left side of my stomach that i did not have prior to the procedure. I also tried to call and speak to someone. I left s message on the voice mail and did not receive a return call. This is not professional behavior. I plan to file a complaint.

Dr Wolford is an outstanding, extremely knowledgeable physician in everything gastro. I had several things happening at once, very ill; Dr. Wolford created a thoughtful plan of medicine, surgery, time, nutrition and physical and occupational therapy that got me to healthy. I'm glad he has been my doctor for the last several years. You may find a gastroenterologist as good but not better. The office staff is friendly, helpful and you do not have to wait more than an average of 20-30 minutes to be seen.

Worst doctor ever. Failed to order relevant tests. Has left me in pain, suffering for moths waiting on a different GI doctor. Wasted 6 months of my life on Wolford and he did NOTHING to improve my health.

Dr. Wolford was referred by my PCM. The OR was the first time we met. He asked me who I was and if I had ever been to his practice before. I replied no. He then asked me what symptoms I was experiencing and before I could answer walked out of the room! When I woke he was in my room, but I cant remember anything he said of course due to the affects of the anesthesia. I thought this unprofessional. Also, call hold times at the office are unacceptable (30+ minutes).
