Excellent care and listens well..
When I saw Dr. Tompkins due to a car accident, he did not pressure me into having surgery. I had no broken bones but some pain from issues with vertebrae in my neck. Dr. Tompkins told me that I would know when it was time for surgery by the pain level. He was exactly right. I appreciate his bedside manner and care.

Terrible Staff
I never got a chance for a visit. I have an aneurysm and have been seeing another doctor but thought I would get a second opinion. They made an appointment and then told me to come see them when I needed a surgeon. Why would I do that? The doctor I would like to see would do the surgery. I did not care for the staff so I am sure that I would not care for this doctor if that is how he operates his business. I will gladly seek someone else.

Had a tele visit scheduled with Dr Tompkins. Had some technical difficulties so reverted to a telephone visit. Dr Tompkins was very through, asked all the right questions. After reviewing my MRI he recommended a treatment plan that really meets my needs. Feel very comfortable with his treatment and abilities

While most surgeons are quick to cut, Dr Tompkins is doing everything he can to help me avoid surgery. So when and if the time comes, I'll know it's absolutely necessary. That takes a load off my mind.

Dr. Tompkins has an amazing team and staff members. Their expertise exceeded my expectations. From the very first moment that I stepped into the hospital, God told me that I was in good hands. I saw his Neuro team everyday of my nearly two weeks stay. They took their time explaining my condition and treatment. Never evaded any of our questions. I had all the confidence in the world that I was in good hands. My family and I was treated with the upmost respect from any employee that took care of me. Brenda Jackson is a great asset to the office staff. She is very smart and patient. Made us feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Tompkins was very easy to communicate with and made sure we understood the entire procedure. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Medical City of Plano and Dr. Tompkins again.

This is the second time I have used Dr. Tompkins. Three years ago he performed surgery to correct L2-3 herniation. It was a tremendous success. I have a C-6 issue at the moment . He has been very caring, and we are working together to AVOID surgery (imagine that from a surgeon). I am in the middle of this issue, so it remains to be seen if I will eventually need surgery. But if I do have to endure surgery, I will certainly have all the confidence in the world in Dr. Tompkins and will have him do the procedure. The staff is terrific. They call back, the are responsive, and courteous.

After my most recent visit, I am still waiting to get a Rx that I requested. When I was there I was told that they were waiting to receive new Rx forms and they would call me when they were available. Tomorrow will be two weeks since that visit and I have yet to be contacted that I can get a Rx that I requested! I would appreciate a call!
