The staff was awesome. Dr. Tan is kind and competent. It was my first visit and feel fortunate to have been referred to this doctor.

Was referred to Dr. Tan from my PCP. His office called to set up an appointment. Day of appointment, went from temperature taking (for Covid precautions) to waiting room for paperwork to exam room where I first met with the Physician Assistant and then Dr. Tan. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The PA and Dr. Tan listened and gave practical suggestions from a lifestyle standpoint. From a clinical standpoint, I was scheduled for a future stress test which also was well coordinated and where I was treated well. I’d recommend them for your cardiology needs. Even though I’m there for clinical reasons, I like my medical professionals and their support staff to have good bedside manner.

Annual cardiology physical, stress echo with Dr. Tan-wouldn't choose any other cardiologist in FDW. Wonderful staff every step of the way. Minor scheduling mishap immediately rectified to everyone's satisfaction. Familiar faces, recognize and call you by name. Feel truly welcome and cared for and about. I'm a surgeon and this is how I hoped patients felt about my clinic. Received test results calls from both staff and Dr. Tan. Will definitely be back next July.

Dr. Tan is a very well-trained cardiologist in whom I have complete trust. He answers questions completely. For the first time, he helped me to understand why I should take a statin drug even though they make me weak. I have asked other doctors, who did not give me a good explanation. He is keeping a close eye on me to be sure I don't have another heart attack, the first of which caused me to have to have 3 stents. He schedules my visits every three months apart for a check-up and to review medications, but I am able to use the patient portal at any time if I need additional answers or appointments.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Tan, and his entire organization, to any and all family and friends. Dr. Tan has been my cardiologist for almost 3 years, and I could not be more pleased in the treatment I have received during that time and can firmly attest that thanks to him and regimen he put me on I believe i am healthier now than I've been in about 20 years. His concern for his patients was further exemplified about a year ago when I was admitted to the hospital for another situation and Dr. Tan found out about this and came to the hospital to determine if I was okay, and if my situation was heart related in any way. So it is my pleasure to recommend Dr. John Tan. Rick Troup, Dallas Texas

I have been a patient of Dr. Tan for a many years, and he's amazing. He's very tentative; always very caring. He's punctual, and can be reached anytime, if I have questions. I recently had a televisit with him, and I love this option. I would highly recommend Dr. Tan!

Best Cardiologist in Town. – May 11, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Tan?
My visit was a follow-up to previous surgery on Jan 10, 2020 in which 3 different stents were installed. Dr. Tan had recommended a nuclear stress test late in 2019 after my visit with him. Although I had no symptoms that I knew about, and was somewhat doubtful that the test was needed, the test showed I had suffered a fairly recent heart attack. It was followed up with an angiogram that indicated a 90% blockage of two of the main arteries of the heart, one of them nicknamed "the widow maker." The surgeon said it might be closer to 99% blockage in one of them. Anyway, had it not been for Dr. Tan's advice I might not even be here to write this review or I would still be sitting on a time bomb waiting for it to go off. I am doing well, thanks to Dr. Tan's wisdom. The surgeon was Dr. Meyer, who also should get a part of the credit.

My experiences with Dr. Tan over a number of years have been excellent. He takes the time to discuss your issues and you never feel rushed in any way. The staff is also excellent, both in terms of registration, appointment testing prep, and exit procedures. If you have a question subsequent to your appointment Dr. Tan's nurse will contact you promptly to discuss your concerns.

I have been going to Dr. Tan for over 10 years. I met him in the throes of a heart attack, and was gifted with 5 stents. This seemingly simple procedure, plus the right advice and the right meds, has taken me from possible passing to many years of a very happy and productive life. Dr. Tan is always very professional and patient on my visits, and I am always impressed by his knowledge of matters concerning the heart and arteries. At his advice, I have have had nuclear stress tests, and treadmill tests, and have always come out with the message I can go home now. While many factors contribute to long life, I credit Dr. Tan with being the main factor, for which I'll always be grateful.
