By far the best!
Dr. Strugar treated me for a back injury. He operated on me and it truly changed by life - q total 180. I was given the runaround by various other doctors for years. My symptoms were minimized and I was told to just manage the pain. Meanwhile, my condition continued to worsen over time. Dr. Strugar's intervention and care was truly life changing. He is compassionate, professional, and brilliant. I would strongly recommend him. I hope more and more patients who are suffering can experience the miracle I did. You won't be disappointed!

Lower cervical fusion, screws are loose and out!
A few years ago at Yale hospital in New Haven Dr. Strugar did a fusion and other than the horrible experience in the recovery room everything seemed OK. After a few years I felt a random slight pinch in the fusion area and thought nothing of it This continued for a few years, a recent X ray for an unrelated issue revealed 2 of the 4 screws loose and the other 2 are totally out and away from the fusion site. I'll be having an MRI to decide what needs to be done. What more can I say..........

After years of lower back pain due to arthritis in my spine, Dr. Strugar performed a Spinal Fusion surgery on me. It relieved me of all my lower pain and he was always very considerate and compassionate in my healing. He always had time for all my questions and gave me all the time I needed in my visits after surgery. I recommend him highly to anyone having continuous back pain.

Cervical Fusion C5/6 C6/7 Foraminotomy & Laminectomy with Rods & screws. This Surgeon performed the surgery @Yale NH Hospital. At the time of the surgery I was a 49 male in very good condition. He performed the fusion with rods & screws. This surgery was the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced & has never subsided. I ended up with a Failed back surgery, developed a large hematoma at the base of the 6” incision the eventually burst & was rushed back to Yale. An infection developed as he had left stitches inside that he then removed, drained & sealed. After this failed cervical fusion I went to a second neurosurgeon in Hartford & he indicated that he (Strugar) didn’t do a complete foraminotomy which has resulted in the same C5/6 C6/7 nerves roots being compressed more so than prior to surgery. I’m not paralyzed thank God, but have been in sever pain ever since. The otherNeurosurgeon in Hartford, to try & correct the failed surgery would be high risk with less than 50% result

Dr. Strugar and his PAs gave me my life back. They were caring, sensitive and conducted themselves with the highest degree of professionalism. All of their efforts were only possible with the back office support of their colleague, Jennifer. Jennifer's dedication and professionalism toward providing great patient care allowed me to receive the treatment I needed. Many thanks to Dr. Strugar, Jennifer and the entire NOSS team!

Dr. Strugar was marvelous. He is an excellent surgeon. I needed to have a fusion on L4-L5. I could not walk because of severe leg pain. Sr. Strugar explained exactly wht would happen during surgery. I agreed to have the procedure done. When I awoke from surgery the nurse walked me to the bathroom and for the first time in 5 months I had no pain in my legs.To me it was a miracle. I received physical therapy and I am 98% whole again. I continue with my strengthening program. I would like to thank Dr. Strugar for giving me back my life. I would highly recommend Dr, Strugar and his staff if you are experiencing issues with your back.

Dr. Strugar gave me my life back. When I went into his office, I could hardly walk for the pain in my back and down my legs. Working with him and his PA’s they completely and clearly explained to me what the problem was in my back. I always felt confidence in their handling of my problem. They went out of their way to make sure I understood what procedures they were going to perform and to make me feel comfortable with what was being done. I can now walk without pain in my back and down my legs. I would be more than glad to recommend Dr. Strugar to any family member or friend, or for that matter anyone else. Dr. Strugar is a master for his medical expertise . I thank him every day when I need to walk.

I would strongly recommend Dr. Strugar! Having problems with my lower back and legs, Dr Strugar corrected the problems and increased my quality of life back to normal. He is an amazing Neurosurgeon and is concerned about the patient's overall health also. He did not race to surgery but developed various other procedures like Injections, Traction, PT & Chiropractic Care before recommending surgery. The NOSS Group is very professional, his appointments are on time and it is a joy for me to see Dr. Strugar and I am very thankful to him for his service! Truly a Top Doctor in my life.
