Shocking Cancellation today
Referred because bones are deteriorating from foot drop. At 10 his office called ( appointment at 11 today) and message to me that he can’t do anything for my foot drop and that I already see Dr. B for my foot drop and continue seeing her. No consultation to even see my foot! What a rude, uncaring professional! Says on the bottom to verify that I received treatment - I couldn’t, as he cancelled my appointment!!

In Sept 2020 was admitted for foot infection in my large left toe and part of my foot, the next day he came in to see me, without running any test and was told that he would remove my Toe this week and half of my foot the next week, two Other Dr told me too get second opinions and I’m glad I did because I went to different Dr and hospital and had my large toe removed and have been fine since, playing golf 2/3 time week and the reason I waited so long, because my neighbor told me a similar story what he wanted to operate without any X-ray or CAT scan this Doctor is operating happy! I have heard this also from other Doctors. Why don’t upper staff looking into this, if I could give a minus-5

I had a great experience with Dr. Stapleton. He was everything I want in a professional surgeon. He is all business and sticks to the plan. He told me what was needed. Allowed me to weigh options and when the time was right for me he performed surgery and the results were flawless. Follow up was as expected. Happy that he was my surgeon.

This rating would be zero, if allowed by the system. He spent all of 3 minutes with me as a follow-up visit to ankle surgery performed out-of-state. Then, he summarized the visit with false information...said he reviewed and explained the x-ray results...said he discussed the danger of weight-bearing too soon. He reviewed, discussed, and explain little to nothing during the 3 minutes he actually met with me. Cancelled a future appointment with him. Would not recommend him to my worst enemy....

Read the negative reviews. They all have the same tone. We experienced the same under his care. So no need to rewrite. I believe the root cause is that this doctor when at a crossroads of what to do next simply takes the road of “nothing more that I can do”. This translated means “ I don’t know what to do”. If you want intelligent care that heals the issue, I would avoid. P.S. as most people do, we know people in the medical field who know of this doctor. And they too have the same opinion of lack of knowledge and poor bedside manor.

Dr. Stapleton was very professional, cordial, and was open to all my questions. I have a Lisfranc injury and we discussed the proper course of action toward this regard. He put my mind at ease that all will work out well. His staff was helpful and supportive as well.

I would give zero stars if I could. I saw Dr. Stapleton after visiting urgent care for severe ankle pain. The X-Ray taken at urgent care showed a 9mm bone cyst where the posterior tibial tendon meets the bone. The doctor was concerned about this and a potential stress fracture caused by the cyst. A few days later, I followed up with Dr. Stapleton. I waited for him until 20 minutes past my appointment time. Dr. Stapleton was very abrupt and acted as though my appointment was a waste of his time. He spent all of 3, maybe 5, minutes with me. While part of his diagnosis and treatment plan were correct, he totally disregarded the bone cyst and yelled at me for even bringing it up. He also prescribed a steroid to treat the inflammation without regard to my history of depression and anxiety. The steroid didn’t help the inflammation and caused several negative side effects. I went elsewhere for another opinion and received much higher quality care and a proper treatment plan.

I went to Dr. Stapleton after a botched surgery by another Dr developed into osteomylitis. He was attentive, took time to explain the plan of action to me, and most importantly, is an extremely skilled surgeon. He fixed a very complicated problem with my foot and now, almost 1 year later, I am running again. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Stapleton refusess to acknowledge your pain & will not manage your pain while under his care. He has no compassion & a horrible beside manner. He does not greet you, look you in the eye, neither does he go over your xrays with you. His nurse line or office does not return calls. My family doctor called him & told him his healthcare practices are unethical & strongly advised me to continue my care elsewhere. Stay away at all costs.

While I agree with Dr. Stapleton' s plan of treatment for my pain in (R) foot I found he has no patient/doctor communication skills. When he spoke to me he wouldn't make eye contact and spoke like he was speaking to someone else. Thought this odd. He'd do better teaching med. students rather than dealing with patients directly.

Recently saw Dr. Stapleton for severe pain in left foot. He acted as though I was a nuisance and told me there was nothing to be done short of major surgery. Advised me to buy an American made Nike sneaker. I visited another podiatrist who spent time listening to me, diagnosed the problem correctly (Dr. Stapleton misdiagnosed my problem) and recommended treatment that helped tremendously. In short, Dr. Stapleton needs vast improvement on bedside manner and knowledge of medicine.

He was very helpful in diagnosis my fracture which I already had been doctoring for 8 weeks. Dr decided I should try walking on it and amazingly I could return to my job and as of my last visit completely healed. Very pleasant, and caring.

Saw him once, never go back! His superior ego & young age are bad mix! Talks down to patient. Had 2 other dr's tell me I had a torn nerve, that being reason for my numb foot. Dr Stapleton though, he knows more than those 2 combined & told me it's hardly possible to tear a nerve! 3 EMG's, 3 dr's--2 told me torn nerve. I don't believe he is the correct dr & other 2 are wrong. Saw me for about 2 minutes & concluded that. Wouldn't recommend

I had a triple fusion and osteotomy with Dr. Stapleton this past year, and I can't say enough good things about him. He fixed a major problem from a prior surgery that was giving me tons of pain. He was very thorough, took all of my questions/concerns seriously, and explained the procedure and results in detail each visit. It is a busy office and there is almost always a wait, but for me that's worth it for the quality of care I received.

While his nurse and PA were very nice, Dr Stapleton has the bedside manner of a rock. I felt he offered no progressive care plan other than the easiest option. I will be looking for a second opinion and will only recommend Stapleton to those I despise.

Dr. Stapleton is very knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time with me explaining the procedure prior to my surgery and a great deal of time addressing all of my concerns post op. I would highly recommend him. He is skilled and, I am extremely pleased with the results of the lapidus bunionectomy he performed on me.
