Dr. Smoot had already performed surgery on my foot, so I knew him to be an excellent doctor. I scheduled an appointment for a different problem, and he took the time to carefully explain condition and diagnosis, including various options. He is thorough, professional, kind, and extremely likable – I would not hesitate to see him again, and I would recommend him on a heartbeat.

I have been seeing Dr. Smoot for several years. He is friendly, professional, efficient and cares about his paients. If you need a foot or ankle Dr he should be your first choice.

Saw Dr. Smoot after 1.5 yrs of serious pain and a large bump on the back of my heel - which no one else understood. Dr. Smoot recognized a large bone spur and torn achilles that required surgery. I've had zero pain since. He listens, asks detailed questions, and takes the time to help his patients.

Dr. Smoot is great! After almost a year of issues where nobody could figure out why I had chronic swelling- he found infections. His PA Lauren and office staff including Jaylynn are always enjoyable to see.

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the doctor was friendly and helpful.

Dr Smoot is a lovely person & doctor. He listens very carefully, examines thoroughly, explains well (showing you your Xrays, never talking down to you), and entertains questions and special requests. He does not race to surgery, suggesting less aggressive options if possible. Office ran efficiently, with very little waiting. A great find for knee, ankle and foot issues.

Dr Smoot came highly recommended by an ER Doctor who's my neighbor. I am an active 61 yr old male. I alpine ski. I own 50 heavily wooded acres in Pennsylvania with brother. I am a steward (labor and treasury) of this land. My legs and feet are critical tools. Dr. Smoot understood my activity level and tailored surgical techniques suited for my lifestyle. I had to have a second surgery due to my aggressive timeline to return working the land up north. Because of Dr Smoot's expertise and his caring clinical staff I am recovering well. Strength is returning and I expect to be back to 90%, by the fifth month after the second procedure. My wife and I are extremely grateful for Dr. Smoot's tenacity and skill implementing a robust repair to my tricky achilles tendon. His facility, Texas Orthopedics, provided close quarter physical therapy giving me confidence I will be my old self as before accident.
