Dr. John Scialli, MD

Careless, unprofessional, and frankly shocking. This man shouldn’t be in a position to make recommendations that can effectively destroy families. Scialli confused our case with others on multiple occasions, he did not fulfill the expectations and requirements of a custody evaluation, and he took well over a year to complete an evaluation that should have taken no more than three months. He is incompetent, confused, and should have retired years ago. His final recommendations completely lacked basis, his final report was disjointed and lacking in detail and only displayed his lack of concern or care for the family. An embarrassment to his profession.

Horrible. We went there for a court ordered family evaluation. The first thing you will notice is how disorganized his desk is. He takes months longer to do the evaluation then other psychs. He forgot and missed an appointment. He told my ex that it was alright to tell our children anything the ex-wanted too. He does not believe in parental alienation. He dismissed the findings and recommendations of several other highly regarded experts; all court appointed and their reports. He actually recommended leaving the children in the care of the abuser. His report was slapped together in places where he cut and pasted and some sentences just dropped off so to speak and did not make sense. He seems to have a hard time making decisions in difficult situations. The process took forever because of his personal issues and he should have recused himself from the process. Instead the process became more harmful to the family members in my opinion because it was so drawn out.

I went to this person for a PHP evaluation. I did not have any recommendations so I picked the closest one. Big mistake! After receiving his evaluation he not only ruined my career but made it so that I could not practice. On top of that, he made recommendations that ended up costing me a fortune. I could not understand how a child psychologist could be put in charge of making health recommendations for professionals. I definitely DO NOT recommend this person.
