He was the most informative and gentle doctor I have ever met. Very caring and his nurse was the same! Thank God for special talented doctors like him.

My experience with Dr. Schorge MD I can’t ever say enough about this man I was sent to Dr. S by my ob/gyn who found out I had a rear cancer that was neglected by my ob:gyn by 9 years. They sent me to Dr.S he told me all about a rear cancer that ran where I was complaining about he did a biopsy that confirmed it was just that and I was boarderline full cancer. But he seen to it that I was rushed in for a emergency operation that would take place when he could do it that day so I was basically a add on to his day of operations. He was amazing didn’t rip my body apart treated me blow the belt with so much respect with not ripping my area there apart that was in 2014 I was of course left with two small unclear.margins. In 2017 it returned this time I seen him at tuft medical hospital in Boston Massachusetts again I was out in for surgery each time after surgery I always followed my followed my follow up appointments as he told me they would go. First time it returns within 3 years 2 operations he seen me to our milestone of five years no return would be a day I’d be in full remission that came January of 2022 it was a long f5 years but with Dr Schorge being my Dr. I new I’d be okay. He wa so caring and kind easy to build a a doctor patient relationship with. I became his favorite patients during the course of our 7 long years patient relationship. I would recommend him to anyone who has issues below the belt. I’m very sad to see him leave Massachusetts out of fear of them unclear margins if it does return what am I gonna do. But I wish him the best of look on his new journey in Tennessee they are so lucky to have gotten him to further there cancer unit and more. I don’t know what I am gonna do if mine ever comes backs. But I know me I’ll just call him at TN if the day ever came back to me in the future I’ll have him refer me to s colleague of his here in Boston he is that type of Dr your sad to leave your state. More doctor should be more like him.l such a care and respectful and thoughtful Dr. And laughs along side with his patients he acts so just like you and me. And takes cancer to the realest level does all he can to see your not suffering in pain Thank you alwys my favorite surgeon Dr for give me my life today without you I would t be here today for all I am doing with my children your the best in your field. I’m

Not only is this doctor an expert in OBGYN oncology surgery, he is caring and compassionate. Ovarian cancer surgery and the ensuing chemo treatments can be challenging. Having the expertise and genuine care from Dr. Schorge and his team helped me to understand and have confidence in the process. John Schorge is an amazing doctor, a one of a kind caregiver and mentor!of other doctors and an expert in his field. I credit my full recovery to this brilliant surgeon.

I would highly recommend Dr. John Schorge who treated my stage lV Ovarian cancer 10 years ago. Since I’m very able to write this now as a fit and healthy, newly 80 year old, it is obvious that I had exceptional care, given with great skill and much personal warmth.

My son and I spent the summer of 2018 looking for a surgeon we could trust. Some promised horrors, some gave no hope, but when we Met Dr. Schorge, we knew our search was over. The only hard part of our first meeting with the doctor was waiting to see if he felt he could help. We'd already put our faith in him just by listening to him. I will be forever grateful to one of the nicest doctors who was so willing to help me. Can't say enough positive about him and about his team.

Dr. Schorge has a superb bedside manner! He erases that “ white coat syndrome” of doctors! He takes the time to explain everything to you! I was so nervous but he made me feel comfortable. This doctor is a treasure!

I went because I had a large ovarian cyst. My ob/gyn wanted to take out both of my ovaries out no matter what. I went to Mass General to get a second opinion from Dr. Schorge. He told me that post menopausal women live longer with their ovaries because they emit male hormones that cannot be replicated. He told me if the one cyst was benign, he would only take that ovary. Thankfully, it was benign! I loved his personality, his knowledge and his surgery skills.

Getting a diagnosis with the "C" word is unsettling. But starting with scheduling the first consult to surgery to follow up, everything went as smoothly as one could hope for. I had very good care from Wentworth Douglas Hospital nurses, and the surgery went exactly right, any fears allayed. Dr. Schorge was very kind and patient explaining what to expect, and answering questions, before and after. I'd totally recommend him.

I would think that any appointment with gynecological oncologist would include a normal examination of a patient. In order to determine what is going on. Alas, Dr. Schorge doesn’t think so. Apparently, his preferred method is to look at a patient from afar. Twice I saw him as my gynecologist-oncologist , and twice he didn’t bother to examine me. All and all it was the most disappointing experience throughout my cancer journey.
