Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and Trigger Thumb Surgery
I suffered from Carpel Tunnel Syndrome for decades and was too afraid to have surgery, especially on my dominant hand. No longer wanting to have this pain, six weeks ago, Dr. Schneider fixed my right hand along with a trigger thumb on the same hand and I could not be happier! He and his team communicated very well with me before the surgery, during and after. His office staff always took my calls when I had questions. He does all of his own follow up appointments. It is not like once the surgery is over, he has an assistant check you over and you never see him again. His follow up care is amazing and if you have hand issues and need surgery, I totally recommend getting this surgery from him! You will never feel like you are not being cared for at this office.

Rotator cuff surgery
3 tendons completely torn. He did a great job. I do more than I did before the surgery. He can be a little short but I think thats because he wants the patient to know how important to recovery following directions is. As recovery gets better he softens considerably. And yes I tell everyone he's worth the drive ( I live two counties away).

Reconstruction of the thumb joint
Dr. Schneider has been taking care of my hands for over 10 years, due to my repetitive job.I highly recommend him, he was courteous, willing to explain options, and I ended up with 2 successful surgeries within 5 years. So now I can enjoy my retirement.I never waited long, great bed side manner, and reassured me in both surgeries had a great success rate.Highly recommend!

Long wait times for mediocre care
I understand how busy a doctors office can get, with squeezing people in and appointments running over time, but waiting an hour to see a doctor for maybe 7 minutes at the most is frustrating. I once waited an hour for him to come in and THEN inform his staff I needed X-rays, even though I had been coming there for 2 months and getting X-rays every visit. I overheard him having a very loud, “heated” conversation with the administrator in the hall about the way things are being done, which was very entertaining while I waited 45 minutes for him to come in my room. Just very unprofessional. Hearing “Oh, we kept you in that splint a little longer than we wanted”, after correcting him on how many weeks I’ve been in it the last appointment, wasn’t too thrilling either. Dr. Schneider’s care is decent, but is rushed and followed with a bit of arrogance after questions you may have. It’s truly not worth the wait, I dreaded going to those appointments every 2 weeks.

I went to Dr. Schneider in the fall of 2019 for numbness in my hands, right leg and side and he almost put me in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. He told me I didn't know what I was feeling and he did and I had carpal tunnel syndrome and put me in hand splints for 6 weeks. He ordered no tests. My condition worsened and my regular doctor ordered an EMG test. An MRI showed my spinal cord was pinched off and no spinal fluid was going to my nerves and they were were dying. Dr. Schneider was angry that I had tests ordered by my doctor and proceeded to berate me in his office about how he wouldn't have used this doctor for the EMG and my doctor shouldn't have ordered the tests. He didn't care about my health only his ego. I told him through tears that he had no right to talk to me like he was and he replied yes and tossed a box of Kleenex at me. He is a very narcisstic and unprofessional person. He talks down to the staff and belittles them. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Schneider replaced my shoulder in November of ‘19. While we had our differences on my post surgery progress, his “encouragement” led a year later to what l believe was a better than expected recovery. He literally gave me the use of my arm back. An excellent surgeon and professional at all times.

I have had an excellent experience with Dr Schneider. I had a terribly broken wrist which brought me to him. My surgery was excellent and my outcome was better than we ever expected. I have a plate and screws and now feel that my wrist is much stronger. I also had carpal tunnel surgery, ( due to the break) and that went extremely well. I am back to where I was before the break. I am very grateful to Dr. Schneider and his staff for their friendliness and compassion. Dr. Schneider also is very knowledgeable, and will explain all procedures and will take as much time as necessary to answer questions. I would recommend him to anyone, in fact, mu husband will be having rotator cuff surgery at MOSH with Dr. Schneider in the near future. I would give this team an A+ !

I was very fortunate to have Dr. Schneider as my doctor. I’m headed toward a full recovery from a badly broken wrist due to excellent surgery results and follow-up care. His genuine concern and empathy were much appreciated as well. His staff was friendly and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor or care.

Dr. Schneider is the best. I did not know how serious an infected hang nail could have been, I suffered with pain over an entire weekend and my infection festered. I called Dr. Schneider's office and got in the same day, he ended up removing my finger nail in his office and draining all the pus. I could have lost that finger. He and is staff were kind, compassionate, took their time and listened to my concerns. I would highly recommend him.

I have had 3 surgeries with Dr. Schneider. Bilateral carpal tunnel several years ago and more recently shoulder surgery. I did not hesitate to return to him when I injured my shoulder and appreciated his giving me options as far as treatment. Starting with conservative treatment is, in my opinion, an obligation of any good doctor. I have full confidence in the doctor and have had excellent results with all of my procedures. His staff is polite, helpful and friendly.

I put off having carpel tunnel surgery for 20 years due to information re:: results at that time.. I did not think Dr. Schneider could help me, I really hadn't realized the amount of pain, and quality of life activities I had stopped due to my Carpel Tunnel. Dr Schneider and his Staff at Midwest orthopedics took time to listen to my concerns. gave me the information I needed, along with expectations good and not so good now and later on. If you are thinking of having hand surgery, choose him
