Reverse shoulder replacement flawless
Dr Redfern is not only an outstanding orthopaedic surgeon. He is very personable & caring. My one year post op showed exactly what I expected, my shoulder replacement was perfectly healed. I had had a rotator cuff repair in 2011 that was still giving me trouble when I took a nasty fall. Dr Redfern suggested the reverse shoulder replacement. After having considerable pain with the rotator cuff I was hesitant. I decided to go ahead with the surgery as I was having considerable pain & loss of motor function. Following the surgery I have taken one pain pill! I did my prescribed pt & feel better than I have in years

Clear, personable communicator
Very clear in his explanation. An important strength of a doctor is the ability to ask, listen, establish a trusted disscussion, and explain in layman terms. Dr. Redfern was very strong on all these points.I feel I understand my situation and the course of action. The facility and supporting staff were all great and seemed to perform efficiently (from a patient perspective).

Highly recommend Dr. Redfern.
He takes time to listen to your concerns and answer questions. It doesn't feel like he needs to move on. I've had both a shoulder and knee repair done through him.

IBroken collarbone - Dr. Redfern
I saw Dr. Redfern at Colorado Springs Orthopedic Group. I broke my collarbone from a fall on my bike. He gave me two choices. Wear a figure 8 brace for 6 to 8 weeks or have surgery the next day. I opted for the surgery. I remembered my older brother having a broken collarbone when we lived in Japan. He had the figure 8 brace and he hurt quite a bit for quite a while. I haven't had any problems since the surgery. Dr. Redfern is very easy to talk with and very friendly. Explained everything really well. I highly recommend him!

Excellent
Dr Redfern has great communication and listens very well. He encouraged me to explain what I needed and explained my condition clearly. He found good short term solution for my shoulder pain, gave suggestions of ways to strengthen my muscles and what to watch for in improvement. He made me feel comfortable talking about what could be done to help my pain and lost mobility. I highly recommend Dr. Redfern.

I'd seen another doctor for shoulder pain. He was flippant and dismissive. Dr. Redfern listened to my concerns and explained how knees and shoulders work and where I have pain. He's kind.

The best I have felt in years!
I was scheduled for any injection, and received so much more. I had updated X-ray’s. Dr. Redfern not only gave me an injection that was virtually painless but he is charming, gentle and kind. We even discussed knee replacement since I am bone on bone now. He knows that is something I do not want to pursue. I have an artificial knee on the other side which makes me feel like super girl but I don’t think I could tolerate another replacement. My original replacement was done in Denver. Thank you Dr. Redford you will be my go to guy for everything shoulder's, Ankles, knees wrists anything you can fix I want you to be the one that fixes it on me.
