A very knowledgeable, caring cardiologist. Takes the time to look at the whole picture involving the heart. He listens to patients questions, answers them completely and never acts like he has to hurry to the next room. Been with this group for over 20 years and finally feel like I have the best doctor.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Peterson. Three stents and a double bypass. Never in a rush. Explained everything to my satisfaction.

Admitted to SM Hospital through ER on March 17th, with Heart Failure & Dr. Petterson was assigned to me. I was released Mar 24th & my heart working at 10%. I have only had one appointment with Dr. Petterson & this is now June 30th. Each appt. has been cancelled & date changed several times, some because DR. not available, some because of scheduling conflicts. Dr. on that 1st appt. I only saw him for less than 5 min. & he was walking out as I was asking questions. I am looking for another Dr.

I was taken to Shawnee Mission Hospital by ambulance, having a heart attack, where I was treated by Dr. Peterson. After I was released and had taken an ultra-sound of my heart I had an office appointment. I asked the result of the test and he said I hadn't had it done. I told him I had and he argued with me. I insisted and he found the results (second sheet down) and told me. He then started to leave before I had finished asking questions and walked out.
