Dr. John Pennisi, DO

As a complicated patient I was impressed with how thorough he was and the effort he made to give the best care.

Dr Pennisi is the best physician I have ever been to words cannot express how thoughtful and thorough he has been.

Have interacted with many physicians within the NCH system. Dr Pennisi is among the finest I have dealt with. Extremely competent, capable, conscientious, caring and responsive. Not only was he exceptional when dealing with my condition, when the situation called for bringing in another specialty, Dr Pennisi went to great lengths to make sure my needs were quickly tended to and that the handoff went seamlessly.

First visit was interrupted by emergency patient. Second visit was great!

My 94 year old father had his introductory appt with Dr. Pennisi. Using Uber car service I scheduled the drop off to the office I got on the internet which unfortunately was his old office. After being dropped off, and realizing the mistake, I scheduled another Uber to take him to the correct address. This outing for my father was very taxing on him. When he got to the office he was late and the staff said the doctor wouldn’t see him and he had to reschedule. The nurse called me to tell me the doctor refused to see him because he was late and with no exceptions. I found her to be rude. Considering that Dr. Pennisi is a geriatric doctor and under the circumstances you would expect to have him make an exception. My father had to return home after this ordeal and never having gotten into see the doctor. Needless to say we will be finding a more considerate and kind doctor for my father.

Each time I have seen Dr Pennisi over the last 7-8 years, he has always been proactive in the interest of my current health and future health. I appreciate that he doesn't dance around the bush with medical jargon that an ordinary person would not understand. He is direct and to the point in explaining even the small details of every visit and always looking forward to what I may need to keep my health on point. He is extremely compassionate and truly cares about his patients.

Immediately enters room with full knowledge of what your visit is about. jumps into the problem. before visit is over he has been told my many medications remain same but he verifies if I still understand how they work together. a body check frim ears,nose,throat. Chest . Legs get reviewed and you feel comfortable knowing no matter what your dealing with, Dr. has addressed all issues and make you actually feel relieved that you had the best.

Dr. Pennisi is amazing. He is so very special in my book. I am a retired disabled Navy veteran and he always takes such great care of my needs. He is never in a hurry and is very detailed. He is a DO and that is another thing that I love about Dr. Pennisi. His staff are very friendly and easy to talk to, making appointments are easy also. Thanks for caring! Best to you all. Dr Pennisi has been an incredibly thorough physician. When a lot of drs gave up on my mother’s chronic nausea after 5 years he took the time to do some forensic medical work and cleared her of her nausea. It gave her - her quality of life back.

He is usually very thorough and detailed. Almost always on time, too!
