Dr. Nikoleit performed my knee replacement surgery well and is a good surgeon, but fails in pre and after care. His office never got approval from my main physician for the surgery and paid no attention to my high blood pressure, sleep apnea, edema, or family history of addiction. Each of these issues were problems after surgery. His (and his office) main failure was providing no supervision of the prescribed opiates and no effective plan for withdrawing off of them resulting in two ER visits.

Dr Nikoleit provided my mom and aunt with excellent care for knee replacement surgery. We were treated with respect, compassion and patience. We also received excellent care at Elmhurst Hospital from getting blood work done to surgery and physical therapy. My mom is currently up and walking a day after surgery with acceptable pain. We also received good care and prompt responses from his assistant Valerie. I highly recommend Dr. Nikoleit and Elmhurst hospital for your orthopedic needs.
