Refuses to see patients. PA are all he sends

Three years later, I still remember this ill-prepared, rude physician. I spent a year corresponding with his office, transferring records, and familiarizing his office with my history to verify his comfort with my previous pain management (in a different state). When the in-office app't went so badly, I asked him why he accepted me as a patient in the first place if he so fervently disagreed with my past treatments. His response: 'I never read any of your records.' Patients, PLEASE be careful.

I had waited for two weeks to receive a call back from this practice. They had asked me to schedule a diagnostic procedure for myself. No facility would accept the order from the patient. Then, when I was advised that I needed a driver by the diagnostic facility, I tried multiple times to explain to Dr. Iron’s staff that I had no one available due to the COVID issue. All I needed was a call back to see if there was another diagnostic procedure available. No one responded. Ever. When I researched the procedure Dr. Irons recommended I discovered every aspect of it was contraindicated regarding my current health issues. This practice seems to have no interest in listening to the patient or paying any attention to the patient health history or concerns. I could not in good conscience recommend this doctor to anyone.

After a year of contact —initial inquiry, verifying their suitability and willingness to do maintenance of my existing pain management program, record transfer, and two physician referrals—I met with Irons for my first pain management appointment. He slandered everything and everyone who preceded him without taking time to understand what preceded my getting into pain management in the 1st place & then advised me he would not, in fact, accept me as a patient. He referred me to an alternative pain clinic, also in the same office. Research revealed they’re NOT pain mgmnt. but “addiction recovery.” He COMPLETELY misrepresented them to me. After 20 years of coping with pain & REDUCING medications as I’ve gone along, a patient deserves more respect & more credit. Irons is unbendingly biased, pushing his superiority & agenda. I’m now left with no pain management. Don’t expect to be treated as a unique and individual patient. If YOU fit HIS agenda, fine. If not, forget it.

He's very nice and let me talk about me, than he gave his medical advice, which I agreed with. Thank you for being a great doctor with a great bedside manner.

Dr irons is a great doctor but the fact that he moved into a practice that is so large they loose there patient care. When he had his own office your were treated with respects and compassion. This new office is all about money and you feel like a number. Great doctor sucky office!
