Dr. Haas explains everything in detail. He is gentle and truly concerned about his patient. His staff is great, but the schedulers have no personality and are far from friendly, even when you call on the phone. My biggest complaint is trying to get an appointment even if you tell the person you are having trouble with blood pressure being way too high. Tried to make an appointment for 3 months and 6 months, we were told the schedule didn't go out until March (this being November) and he had no openings at all, even in March!. You could have a heart attack or stroke before you are seen. I would think you fear a lawsuit, but that wouldn't help the person who had the stroke permanently disabling or even worse death. You don't want to try another Dr. because you must build up trust and that is not a choice you want to make. There should be appointments left open for those who have an extreme problem, but the person making the appointment should have no deciding factor with that decision.

Dr. Haas was my attending physician at LSU several years ago. I love him! He's smart and compassionate. His bedside manner is superb because he listens. I hope he comes back to Louisiana. We need good doctors and Dt. Haas is the best.
