Awful. Spent 5 minutes with me and did nothing but waste my time. Charged me $2k. The surgeon who actually helped me didn’t charge much more than that and he actually helped me and performed surgery.

3 days after my son’s accident where he broke his humerus in 3 places, we waited 2 hours to spend 5 minutes with Dr. Gorczyca, who told him no more pain meds, told him the sling he was given in ER was way too small but sis nothing about it, and told him to return to school the next day. My son suffered a comminuted fracture and was severely swollen and in a lot of pain. 2 weeks after the accident we were able to get a second opinion. My son’s new ortho took his time with my son, made sure he was comfortable and had clearly reviewed my son’s ER records and X-rays prior to our visit. He even blocked out time the following week for surgery just in case we decided to go that route. He discussed our options and we decided any other choice would delay the inevitable. He’s also concerned about his tendons, ligaments, arteries and nerves. It’s such a bad break, I can’t imagine any doctor sending a patient so severely swollen, so clearly in excruciating pain, with his humerus in several pieces, back to school. The new ortho said he’s out for a minimum of 6 weeks. Just unbelievable, the difference in care. The poor kid hadn’t had a decent night’s sleep in 2 weeks. I’m so grateful we found a new surgeon who took my son’s injury seriously.

I have a lot of respect for Dr. Gorczyca as he is a profound surgeon. He is extremely knowledgable and cares about his patients. I have gone through multiple surgeries with him post mvc and I wouldn't choose to seek care from anyone else.

Boring guy who seemed socially inept and after that I had no trust in whatever he said. It was worth the drive to Syracuse to see Dr. Irving Raphael. Excellent surgeon!

He did surgery on my arm. Put a metal plate and screws in to fix broken bones. After the surgery the wound was seeping fluid. They said that it was good to let it drain a bit. It was getting red, hot, still seeping, and swelling. We mentioned it to at least 3 Dr.s. They sent us home to change dressing ourselves. It looked bad. I visited the Dr. at his office. They removed the staples and stitches. I ended up going to the emergency room finally. I had a MRSA infection. Had to have 3 surgeries!
