I've been a patient of Dr Golden for approximately 15 years. He has consistently helped me with hypothyroidism and hormone replacement therapy, along with a few other minor aliments. He is open and very willing to discuss treatment options. He has always considered and listened to my perspective, needs, and concerns. He is thorough, a great listener, has a relaxing and caring bedside manner. He no longer works for Genesis Health System. He has opened his own practice and is very responsive - Golden Center for Health and Healing, Rock Island, IL. Recommend discussing the handling of insurance while making an appointment. His practice is part-time and available on certain days of the week.

Dr. Golden now works in his own "Golden Center" in functional medicine. He refers to himself, with undisguised pomposity, as "A Co-Creator of Health". By that he means that he will do 99% of the talking while claiming to listen to his patients. In reality, he is terribly disrespectful to them, although some know more about their own illnesses than he does. He charges exorbitant fees, gladly. Can you say, "god complex?" What a shame that lay people can't write their own scripts & avoid his ilk.
