Dr. Glaspy may possibly saved my life.
I learned that I had multiple myeloma while visiting Palm Springs, CA and, because I had a medicare advantage plan from my home state, no local oncologist would see me...except Dr. Glaspy at UCLA Health. I switched plans as soon as I could and began traveling to LA once a week for treatment, a 5 to 6 hour round trip. Dr. Glaspy knew exactly what treatment I needed as he is a leader in the field. I appreciate his dry wit and his no nonsense approach to treating cancer. I like to be told 'the way it is' with no sugar coating. Thanks to Dr. Glaspy and the outstanding oncology team at UCLA Health, I am now in remission.

Dr John Glaspy, Dr. Hirschfeld is a dedicated physician who practices medicine with expertise and lots of heart. His treatment of patients with cancer is next to none, as his sensitivity and unique battles of each of his patients is his highest priority. I highly recommend him as a physician and as a person of integrity and honor.

We have been at UCLA hospital Westwood for close to 3 weeks diagnosed with lung cancer. Dr Glaspy is our Attending Physician. We have yet to meet him. He lets his young Fellow and Residents do all his work, and not with competency. We are requesting to be moved to UCLA Santa Monica to a doctor Goldman, who actually meets and treats his patients

This doctor does not treat people. He doesn't even examine or order tests. When I questioned his treatment plan I was told to find another doctor. He doesn't care about patients.

I found out that I had ++-breast cancer on a Thurs. & his assist. got me an appt. the next Tues. He spent an hour tracking down my tests, explaining the cancer & he called a surgeon & she came to the office to see me.He was very direct and truthful and started with telling me that this wasn't going to kill me but I had the fight of my life ahead.2 weeks after diagnosis I was starting chemo and breezed thru with little reaction. He doesn't coddle...he evaluates, informs and executes. My hero.

Outstanding! Immensely experienced physician with no signs of burnout, unlike my own oncologist. Focused, thorough, relaxed, compassionate, able to understand the fear a cancer diagnosis brings into the mind, all minds. I saw 6 physicians during my diagnosis stage, Dr Glaspy was at the top of the list with the next physician on list significantly far behind.
